If TON has been able to achieve these results, imagine how successful Telegram with its 700 million users could be if we put reserved @ usernames, group and channel links for auction. In addition to millions of catchy t.me addresses like @storm or @royal, all four-letter usernames could be made available for sale (@bank, @club, @game, @gift etc).

This would create a new platform where username holders could transfer them to interested parties in protected deals – with ownership secured on the blockchain via NFT-like smart-contracts. Other elements of the Telegram ecosystem, including channels, stickers or emoji, could later also become part of this marketplace.

When it comes to scalability and speed, TON probably has the best technology to host such decentralized sales. Our team can write bullet-proof smart contracts for TON (since it was us who invented its smart-contract language), so we are inclined to try out TON as the underlying blockchain for our future marketplace.

Negli ultimi due giorni, Telegram ha revocato gli username di centinaia di canali pubblici senza avvisare i proprietari.

Nella maggior parte dei casi, le chat interessate erano quelle senza alcun post o inattive per oltre un anno.

Una fonte vicina a Telegram ha riferito che questa è una pratica comune e che non sarà possibile riutilizzare gli username revocati per un po'.

Ieri è comparso il primo canale truffa sulla piattaforma pubblicitaria di Telegram.

I truffatori creano centinaia di canali falsi che vengono approvati per la piattaforma pubblicitaria di Telegram, e che vengono poi utilizzati per reindirizzare gli utenti ai loro canali fraudolenti.

La richiesta alle aziende di pagare 2'000'000€ non ha protetto la piattaforma dai truffatori che comprano pacchetti pubblicitari a prezzi minori da aziende più grandi.

Telegram è già a conoscenza dell'accaduto e sta prendendo provvedimenti. Gli editori di Telegram Info hanno consigliato di aggiungere un pulsante "Segnala" per i messaggi sponsorizzati, che potrebbe quindi apparire presto. Open / Comment
