The results of the Third Round of the iOS Contest are here. Meet the winners:

1st PLACE – $10,000
Hip Hyena — The most stable app that has all the major features implemented and offers a significantly better performance and speed than the rest of the submissions. However, the app could have benefited from more thorough preliminary testing to get rid of glitches.
Penalties (-$1,000):
– Broken 2FA flow.

2nd PLACE – $7,000
Perfect Wasp — The contestant implemented most of the required features. However, the app did not achieve the level of speed and performance we expected. There's also room for improvement in both stability and attention to detail.

3rd PLACE – $4,000
The third-place winners support logging in, viewing the chat list, and accessing messages. Their apps can render certain media types and can interact with the Settings screen. However, certain media types and some of the Settings options are missing. Additionally, various major issues are present, ranging from severe to medium.

– App crashes when scrolling chats.
Hardy Goose
Penalties (-$2,000):
– Broken 2FA flow.
– App crashes after scrolling chats or the Settings screen.

4th PLACE – $2,000
These apps support logging in, viewing the chat list, and accessing chat messages. Unfortunately, these submissions can't handle most media types. Additionally, support for major required features (like sending messages, accessing the Settings screen and interacting with its options) is missing. Finally, their overall speed and stability are below average.

These contestants implemented rendering the chat list, but didn't implement any other features or actions.

2021-08-14 20:12:58 È difficile credere che siano passati 8 anni da quando Telegram è apparso per la prima volta su App Store.

Secondo una ricerca pubblicata la scorsa settimana, Telegram è diventata la settima applicazione più scaricata al mondo nel 2020. Questo non è sorprendente: negli ultimi anni, Telegram è stata l'app di messaggistica più ricca di funzionalità e facile da usare al mondo.

Eppure, ogni singola caratteristica che aggiungiamo mi fa pensare a nuovi miglioramenti che dobbiamo ancora implementare. È come raggiungere la cima di una montagna solo per scoprire maggiori altezze da scalare dal nuovo punto di osservazione. Questo è ciò che rende questo viaggio così eccitante.

Oggi, alle 20:00 italiane, Telegram inizierà a testare una nuova modalità quiz in quiz.directory. Il link per partecipare sarà pubblicato nel canale privato degli sviluppatori.

Chiunque può partecipare, ma Telegram chiede di:
— Rispondere al quiz su un computer.
— Registrare lo schermo e i log del browser.

2021-08-08 21:15:51 Questions and answers su Telegram, ecco i dettagli sulla nuova stagione!

Come prima cosa volevamo ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno partecipato ai sondaggi dedicati alla nuova stazione dedicata alle Questions and answers su Telegram.

La nuova stagione resterà quasi invariata, infatti si svolgerà di Venerdì dalle 21:30 in poi e avrà una durata che va dai 30 ai 45 minuti.

Questa sarà la base, man mano che andremo avanti sicuramente vi saranno delle dirette più lunghe.
Oltre alle dirette dedicate alle novità introdotte di volta in volta, vi saranno degli appuntamenti in cui parleremo di uno o due argomenti che verranno scelti con un sondaggio all'interno del canale e del gruppo.

Le dirette verranno registrate e pubblicate la sera stessa all'interno del canale Onair su Telegram, mentre in un secondo momento verranno pubblicati alcuni spezzoni direttamente all'interno del canale YouTube. Insomma come abbiamo fatto per la prima stagione.

Ci saranno anche altre novità che vi svelleremo nei prossimi giorni.

2021-08-08 16:31:18 Tra pochi giorni, esattamente il 14 agosto, Telegram compirà 8 anni e probabilmente lancerà la sua versione 8. Ogni anno infatti il team ci ha abituato a rilasciare caratteristiche importanti proprio in occasione del suo anniversario.
Cosa ci possiamo aspettare quest'anno? Non ci resta che attendere fiduciosi.
