Esattamente nove anni fa, il 14 agosto 2013 veniva rilasciata la prima versione dell'app per iOS, dando vita al progetto Telegram.
Mese dopo mese, anno dopo anno sono state introdotte funzioni e caratteristiche innovative che hanno portato un app di messaggistica (se ancora vogliamo chiamarla cosi) ad essere una tra le più scaricate con circa 700 milioni di utenti attivi al mese.

2022-08-12 20:15:07 È stata un'interessante sfida ingegneristica garantire che centinaia di emoji vettoriali con animazioni fluide potessero essere riprodotte contemporaneamente sullo schermo di qualsiasi telefono cellulare. Telegram è la prima azienda in assoluto ad averlo implementato in un'app mobile.

L'aggiunta di emoji personalizzate al testo di qualsiasi messaggio è solo il primo passo dell'imminente rivoluzione visiva su Telegram. In poche settimane, gli utenti saranno in grado di aggiungere qualsiasi emoji personalizzata come reazione a un messaggio e visualizzare un emoji come stato corrente accanto al loro nome.

Tutto questo diventerà disponibile per gli abbonati Premium per primi, perché sono quelli che rendono possibile a Telegram di rimanere gratuito e privato per tutti.

2022-08-12 20:15:07 Dopo un'ampia copertura mediatica del mio post precedente, Apple è tornata da noi con la richiesta di annacquare il nostro aggiornamento Telegram in sospeso rimuovendo Telemoji - versioni animate vettoriali di qualità superiore dell'emoji standard.

Questa è una mossa sconcertante per conto di Apple, perché Telemoji avrebbe portato una dimensione completamente nuova alla sua emoji statica a bassa risoluzione e avrebbe arricchito significativamente il loro ecosistema.

Ma è un bene per Telegram a lungo termine, poiché ora renderemo Telemoji ancora più unico e riconoscibile. Inoltre, abbiamo incluso altri 10 pacchetti di emoji nell'aggiornamento di oggi, insieme alla possibilità per qualsiasi utente di caricare le proprie emoji.

- Quando si digita un messaggio, il pulsante degli stickers si trasforma in un pulsante emoji che apre il pannello emoji.

- Controlla chi può inviare o inoltrare i tuoi messaggi vocali in Impostazioni > Privacy e sicurezza con Telegram Premium.
- Create eccezioni per aggiungere singoli utenti o gruppi di utenti.

• Bots can identify custom emoji sent by Telegram Premium users via the new type "custom_emoji" and field custom_emoji_id added to the MessageEntity class.
• Added the method getCustomEmojiStickers to obtain information about specific emoji.
• Added the fields type and custom_emoji_id to the Sticker class.
• Added sticker_type as a new field for StickerSet and as a new parameter for createNewStickerSet.

Web Apps
• Implemented support for native dialog windows including alerts, popups with custom buttons and confirmation messages.
• A confirmation dialog can now be shown when users close the web app. The dialog can be toggled via the enableClosingConfirmation and disableClosingConfirmation functions.
• Added the field is_premium to the WebAppUser class — the standard User class already included this field, see version 6.1.

• Added has_restricted_voice_and_video_messages to the Chat class to support the new premium setting.

2022-08-10 22:33:00 I love my work. What could be more exciting than improving the way hundreds of millions of people communicate? Members of our team, myself included, must be some of the luckiest people alive.

The only thing that we find discouraging is that we're often unable to distribute the new versions of Telegram due to the obscure "review process" imposed on all mobile apps by the tech monopolies.

For example, our upcoming update – which is about to revolutionize how people express themselves in messaging – has been stuck in Apple's "review" for two weeks, without explanation or any feedback provided by Apple.

If Telegram, one of the top 10 most popular apps globally, is receiving this treatment, one can only imagine the difficulties experienced by smaller app developers. It's not just demoralizing: it causes direct financial losses to hundred of thousands of mobile apps globally.

This harm goes on top of the 30% tax Apple and Google take from app developers – which, according to them, is supposed to pay for the resources needed to review apps. The regulators in the EU and elsewhere are slowly starting to look into these abusive practices. But the economic damage that has already been inflicted by Apple on the tech industry won't be undone. Novità:
— Consentito l'invio di emoji animate nei Messaggi salvati anche agli utenti gratuiti.
— Premium: suggerisci emoji animate dalle emoji normali (può essere disabilitato nelle impostazioni).
— Premium: mostra tutti gli sticker premium suggeriti in una sezione dedicata del pannello degli sticker (con la possibilità di nasconderla).
— Risolta una perdita di memoria anomala nelle dirette RTMP.
— Risolti alcuni bug di visualizzazione web dei bot su macOS.
— Corretto l'inoltro dei messaggi vocali.
