There will be another Second Sunday in October, and it still applies that it can be any six missions, completing NIA missions is not mandatory.

How it looks with the Second Sunday after October, Niantic will not reveal at this time.

2021-09-15 23:13:45 The Optima Kinetic Challenge returns from Friday, 17 September at 1600 UTC to Monday, 27 September 1600 UTC with new tiers!

Previous metric should go live at the beginning of the event, and a free and paid Kinetic bundles will be available!

Plus, the programs will be modified during the event:
- Reactivated Jarvis and L8 Resonator programs
- New ADA program
- Existing programs started during the event are reduced to 2km

2021-09-13 23:30:04 After almost exactly a year, we finally got the answer to the mysterious fingerprint badge that was accidentally posted with the announcement of the Niantic profile: This medal was an early design or placeholder for the C.O.R.E. medal. Niantic decided against using that design, and instead created the design you see in the scanner today.

2021-09-13 22:26:16 Niantic published release notes for Ingress Prime V2.80.1!

In this version, Ingress steps down from being the reference source for POIs in other Niantic games. From now, Ingress will get its Portals and updates from Wayfarer. (Server update, not client)

The only bug fix included regards the Android version of the game, which went back two screens instead of one when pressing the back button while on the Missions Medals and Manage Inventory screens.

2021-09-08 10:38:25 We have a new candidate for a World Record! This massive amount of fields was established in Italy last weekend!

Enlightened Agents from the Abruzzo region managed to create the astonishing number of 302 nested fields!
At the moment, the record is being verified, meaning that we are looking into whether an OP with more fields exists, be it green or blue. Please reach out to us in our discussion group if that's the case!
