2021-08-18 08:26:16 I don't believe how you describe yourself for a second :p But, if you look at the percentages that each candidate has for the overall vote, they are receiving EXACTLY that same percentage of the new (interval) votes - even if the total number of new votes counted is 1. That means we are not being restricted to anything old fashioned like 1 person, 1 vote. Nope - we have fractional voting going in here. But the control is the ratio of trump to Biden votes. So - as they were counting along, they added in some votes for Trump or Biden or 3rd Party to maintain the percentage control. At the end, they can evaluate if they have phantom voters in each column, then they can collect a set and remove them from each column so that the percentages don't change. And then they don't have to assign a phantom voter name, minimizing the number of phantom voters used so it is harder to catch them. Open / Comment

Then - after we have minimized all we can, we pull out the phantom voters (at the same interval percentage as the overall so the percentage doesn't change!) so that we don't have to find names for these that aren't really needed at the end. What this means is that, basically, if you tell me how long the counting has been going on and what the total number of votes cast were, I can tell you exactly how many votes Trump had and how many votes Biden had.
