Main buyers of Russian oil

Relevant against the background of new and new sanctions infographics on the distribution of buyers of our oil. And in first place (according to data for 2020, but it is unlikely that the share has become less in the intervening time) here with a large gap goes China, where almost a third (32.8%) of Russian oil goes, in 2020 it was 23.77 billion dollars

But then mostly European countries come next, and their combined share is noticeably higher than that of China: 13% for the Netherlands, 8.7% for Germany, 5.8% for Poland, 5.2% for Italy. Hungary, which does not want to give up our oil, had only 1.4% of all exports

The most popular passwords in Europe

123456 is the king in almost all of the countries included in the study! With only two exceptions - the Danes prefer its truncated version (12345), and the Ukrainians turned out to be supporters of alphabetic passwords and most often use qwerty

Information security is such information security...

How Russians and Americans feel about some world leaders

Interesting comparison from the Levada Center: how Russians and Americans feel about some personalities in March 2022.

In general, diametrically opposed! In Russia, 87% of Russians said they had a positive attitude toward Putin, while in the US only 4% (or was it as little as that?). Only 7% of Russians and 10% of Americans had a positive view of "great leader Xi. A good attitude to Biden and Zelenski was expressed by 6% each, while in the US these figures were 52% and 81% respectively. And yes, Americans have a better attitude toward the president of Ukraine than toward their own.

World inflation concerns continue to rise

According to a Ipsos survey, global concern about inflation continued to grow in May 2022, with 34% of respondents saying inflation was a significant problem (up from 32% in April - and just 10% in May of last year)

Along with inflation, the concern about unemployment noticeably decreased (from 40% a couple of years ago to 29% in April and 27% in May 2022) and the coronavirus (now 16%, although a month ago it was 18%, and just over a year ago this figure reached 50%), the concern about corruption was also slightly less

On trust in government around the world

Governments are not trusted almost anywhere except in India, the only country with a positive balance of trust in government (10% of the population trusts the government than do not trust it). Somewhere around zero (i.e., equal between those who trust and those who distrust) is the figure in Germany and the Netherlands.

But trust in public institutions (courts, police, health care, etc.) is better in the world, and in many countries the balance is positive; in Japan and Malaysia the difference between those who trust and those who distrust is above 30 p.p.

There are countries with a high level of trust in both the government and public institutions (here Malaysia and India were surprisingly close to Germany and the Netherlands); low levels of trust in both (LatAm, South Africa and Eastern Europe); low levels of trust in the government and high - in institutions (for example, the USA and Great Britain) and something in between. We are in the last group - next to Tu

Which countries are most respected in the world according to Russians

The picture of the world in the minds of most Russians is quite peculiar: In it, the whole world respects China and Russia and does not respect, for example, the United States. They don't respect Germany very much either, and they don't respect Ukraine at all. These are the results of a recent poll

In the rating of strong respect, according to the Russians, we are in the lead: 29% of respondents said that Russia is held in high esteem; 26% said the same about China (and only 8% each about the United States and Germany). At the same time, China leads in terms of cumulative respect: 81% (very respectful + rather respectful) versus a cumulative 66% for Russia.

In the opinion of 37% of Russians in the world do not respect Ukraine at all, and in the opinion of 25% - the United States.

Such are the ideas about the world order (and respect) in the minds of our people...

How many people use mobile banking apps around the world

In fact, very, very few: according to a Statista survey, Turkey (85% of the population uses such applications) and, suddenly, Nigeria (82%) lead the way. Quite high figures, subjectively it seems that we should have the same, but there is a but!

If you look at richer and more developed countries than Turkey and Nigeria, it turns out that in many countries the level of development of mobile banking is very, very low! Only 35% of residents of progressive and technologically advanced Japan use bank apps. In Germany, only 42% do. In the U.S., the numbers are higher, 58%, but compare that to Nigeria! It is a very curious effect, of course, when poor countries are the first to adapt some technology, not rich ones.

Yield of non-state pension funds in Q1 2022
Bank of Russia data, in Q1 2022 the yield of pension savings of non-state pension funds (before the payment of remuneration to the fund) was minus 2% per annum.

The negative dynamics of the yield was caused by a significant change in the economic and market situation in early 2022.

A significant proportion of assets in the portfolios of funds accounted at amortized cost (not revalued at market quotations), and support measures in terms of fixing the value of securities on 18.02.2022 allowed to prevent an even greater decline in the NPF yield.
