Being a lone wolf means I can cope with what's in front of me. Provide me a crowd and I'll blend in. Sorry if I start calling them 'my pack.' For, you have only yourself to blame, sending me in their midst. Also, provide me a lair I'll try to make myself safe and sound, be it days that I am alone. I'm talking of days. Not years filled with seemingly endless days I forgot being strong, making me hate being a lone wolf. Not years with a pandemic wreaking havoc, leaving me bereft of my loved ones and friends—the only ones who know the true me. The young and innocent me. For yes, the problem of being seen strong is forgetting I am human too. That I also have weaknesses. That "No man is an island" is now more than ever a truer saying. I miss being extrovert. Out in the open. Out there waiting for my friends to sneak into town for a random adventure and at the end of the day being at the embrace of my ever loving parents and siblings. I wanna be free. May we outlive this pandemic. I promise I will never be again stoic. For you I shall be enthusiastic.
