Meet Ananniya Yohannes,the winner of the opportunity to participate in the MUN globally.
Ananniya's journey can serve as an inspiration to those who are looking for a sign to take a risk but are unsure.

Ananniya was flustered with the leadership conference and competition, he didn't think he was properly dressed or prepared for the occasion. As he stated fairly, he didn't expect anything from the competition because he had a history of numerous failed attempts.As a result, he decided not to compete after the conference.

However, a friend persuaded Ananniya that it was worthwhile and that he should not miss it. Ananniya entered the competition late, but he surprised everyone by winning. His journey to the LCC exemplifies the adage that a chance not taken is a chance lost. Whatever the outcome, a trial may be required. As a leader and as a person seeking change in life. Ananniya decided to take a chance on himself.

2021-11-29 07:10:01 A leader's two most important qualities are dedication and commitment.

Meet Biruk Aschalew, the best delegate of Kirkos Subcity; this young man's path to the LCC was not as easy as one might think. The leadership conference and competition took place on the same day as the 12th grade national exam orientation. Biruk, a 12th grader, was required to attend the orientation and then rush back to the conference. He also competed on Sunday, knowing that the next day he had to sit for the National exam. Nonetheless, the fact that he had to take an exam did not prevent him from taking part in the competition, in which he excelled with greatness.

We frequently make excuses for not committing to our passion and calling. We blame it on inconvenience and bad timing, but Biruk's story changes the game for such negative thoughts.
We can accomplish anything if we put forth the necessary effort.

2021-11-27 21:53:20 Meet Participants Remedan and Hamdi Abdulwasi, the twin brothers that attended the Leadership conference and competition

During the LCC event's lunch break, these two had a rather amusing encounter. Here's what happened:
When participant Hamdi Abdulwasi arrived late for lunch and approached the lunch stand, the caterers were confused as to why he was at the buffet a second time. He explained that he did not return, but they were still unconvinced. Then, Hamdi suggested that he may have been confused by his twin brother who is also a participant. After a while, the issue was resolved when they realized that Hamdi indeed had a twin brother. This memorable anecdote was a humorous addition to our event and it left us smiling.

Such moments from the leadership conference and competition are indeed unforgettable!!

Requirements: Good lessening, team player, able to deliver on time.

2. Promotion for a project and magazine
Requirements: Interest in promotion and advertising, good communication skill , addressing people formally, willing to do in person activities
*previous experience is a plus

3. Data organiser Requirements :Familiar with Google drive , basic computer skill, have her/his own laptop good internet conection and video editing will be a plus.

Alemayehu had just left his 9 year long job which was his comfort zone. He was at a cross road and was looking for his next step. Alemayehu had decided to be courageous and invest in himself by becoming an LCC attendee. During the event, Alemayehu did exceptionally well in networking with fellow LCC attendees, sharing experiences, and showed one of the best traits of a leader: being open to learn new things.

We can all learn the benefits of constantly working on self improvement and honing our skills from Alemayehu.

When there is a long day event, we tend to be excited, a little overwhelmed, and tired. We have a tendency to lose our appropriate manner at times; however, this was not the case with Yasmin Abbas. She exuded a great deal of discipline and calmness. She was the most organized and courteous delegate at the Leadership Conference and Competition.

As the old adage goes, "reason and calm judgment are qualities especially suited to a leader." Yasmin is living proof of this quote.

2021-11-25 11:59:55 She is Mary Ann Bevan who was known as the "ugliest woman in the world" but when you know her life you'll call her the "most beautiful person in the world." Marry Ann suffered from acromegaly due to which she had abnormal growth nd facial distortion. After the death of her husband, with no breadwinner in the house, accumulating debts and financial needs of her 4 children she decided to enter the humiliating contest and won the offensive title of "ugliest woman in the world" later she was hired by a circus, toured different cities where people came to laugh nd humiliate her. She endured the ridicule of others in order to raise her children nd give them a better quality of life. She died in 1933.
To this day, society judges people on their physical appearance, if our eyes could see souls instead of bodies, Mary Ann would have been the most beautiful woman in the world.

2021-11-25 07:08:39 Meet Kidus Abenet, a tenth-grade student at Gibson School who was named the best delegate from the Lideta sub-city.

This young man excelled in the simulation put on by the leadership conference and competition. He dazzled with his eloquence and grace. He stated after his victory, "The Leadership conference and competition helped him boost his skill and moral on how to present an idea and how to convince people from different backgrounds."

Despite his youth, he has outperformed his peers and is an exemplary young leader.
