Further to my last communication regarding the current mode of study at our University, I am contacting you again regarding the upcoming examination period and the associated challenges presented by the COVID-19 crisis. This includes arrangements for the end of semester examinations.
 
We have been carefully monitoring the epidemiological situation over the past number of weeks.  I again would like to commend WIUT’s staff dedication in ensuring students’ academic progress, fulfilling their duties even as they confronted unprecedented professional and personal challenges. Thank you for the trust you are placing in us to support you in your academic goals. 
 
For this reason, we have made the decision to reschedule all end of semester (final) examinations to an ONLINE mode. Whilst we know this is disappointing, we hope you understand this is a necessary step to help keep each other safe in these unprecedented times. In cases of questions, sickness and social vulnerability, please contact your Course Leader immediately. A revised timetable for take home examinations will be circulated shortly to all students.
 
I hope this update is useful. Please keep in mind that we are here for you and we are all here for each other.

These are some key reminders about CW2 Synoptic assessment:

— only ONE research report must be submitted for CW2. You should upload your course work to Academic English Course Works page. This will then be accessible both to I, Citizen and Academic English lecturers;

— peer assessment is done in I, Citizen;

— DELETE any kind of Google Docs that contains your report, drafts or any other parts. You should do it before submission; otherwise, it will result in plagiarism;

— the course work to be uploaded should be named with the ID of a student who is RESPONSIBLE for submission. Other students' ID numbers must be given inside your CW2. See the template;

— SEND the ID of the student who is responsible for submission to your I, Citizen lecturer. This will help your first and second markers find your research reports;

— read other important instructions in Academic English, Seminar 24: CW2 Review.
