If you have the right to silence people who say things you don’t like, you give others the right to silence you when you say things they don’t like.

That’s why adults don’t force each other to be quiet.

An adult with childish anger provoked by the media can be tricked into destroying your right to say what you believe.

Let’s not go there. Instead, do whatever it takes to be at peace when people say really stupid things.

After all, 50% of people are stupider than average. If you were going to let that make you mad, you’re not going to have a good life.

Yes, they are tracking whether you are gay, and there is a flag to control your access to events.

I used to design systems like this. It is a simple relational database, and no sane IT professional should ever play a part in creating this. It is inherently evil.

Shame on those who participate in creating this overt totalitarian technology.

The future will look like one of three options:
-The people who created these systems will be beaten in the streets by angry mobs.
-The people who created these systems will get away with it because they have robots that kill anyone who disagrees with them.
-The people who are creating these systems stop it and everyone remains free to do what they are here to do.

My track record for seeing the future is very strong. Sadly, option three is least likely. Option two is where we are headed. It will inevitably lead to option one, but not for generations. Open / Comment

2022-02-28 03:02:22 It gets dirtier than this if you know the history of technology. Did you know that IBM sold its most powerful data processing technology to Nazi Germany during World War II?

The areas where Hitler deployed IBM’s technology had an exceptionally high rate of killing Jewish people.

This is not to pick on IBM; I once sat on their highest level advisory board and got to know many of the executives. They are good people.

The problem is that companies are not people and you cannot throw a company in jail (or torture it). Even good people make lots of small decisions that can add up to great evil.

It is happening now in the United States, and the people who run the big tech companies involved in this should know better. Open / Comment

While we are all justifiably concerned about Ukraine, the US is taking the opportunity to sneak a federal digital vaccine card in.

Even worse, it is being driven by a coalition of tech companies. The kind I used to run strategy for. They know very well that they can make billions of dollars over the next 50 years by keeping this surveillance infrastructure in place.

This kind of thinking is exactly what got us private prisons. The large companies that run private prisons spend hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying for stiffer penalties so they can have more people in prison and make more money. That’s why the US has a greater percentage of the population in prison than China.

Now that big tech has figured out they can create a virtual prison using surveillance, the market size is much bigger.

This is a study from a well respected university in Sweden. It shows that human liver cells took up the genes from the vaccine and incorporated them.

Of course, that’s impossible, because we had double blind studies of the safety of the new technology that we rolled out to billions of people.

Believe it or not, this study is fantastic news. It shows that mRNA is a platform we can use to edit our own biology to become better humans.

Perhaps instead of using it to trick ourselves into manufacturing a toxin, we could use it to teach our cells to make antiaging compounds.

No more obesity. No more heart disease. No more Alzheimer’s. No more cancer.

Of course, I’m hopeful that before we roll those treatments out to billions of people, we will test them first.

And keep in mind, each of those diseases kills more people every year than the most famous virus in all of human history. Open / Comment
