Today the “ring of fire” annular solar eclipse is partially visible from the United States, northern Canada, Europe, northern Asia, Russia, and Greenland.
Always remember about eye safety when watching the eclipse! When watching a partial eclipse you must wear eclipse glasses at all times if you want to face the sun. Ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun.
If you don’t have a proper filter, a convenient method for safe viewing of the partially eclipsed Sun is a pinhole projection. You simply pass sunlight through a small opening (for example, a hole punched in an index card) and project an image of the Sun onto a nearby surface (for example, another card, a wall, or the ground).
In case you can't see the eclipse due to geography, cloudy conditions, several online streams have you covered.

See the First Images NASA’s Juno Took As It Orbited Ganymede

The photo from the Jupiter orbiter’s JunoCam imager shows the surface in remarkable detail, including craters, clearly distinct dark and bright terrain, and long structural features possibly linked to tectonic faults.

This image of Ganymede was obtained by the JunoCam imager during Juno’s June 7, 2021, flyby of the icy moon.

Astronaut beach house

In 1963, NASA bought part of a small neighborhood near its expanding Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It got several homes, a gas station and grocery store, all of which it proceeded to promptly tear down. However, the agency decided to spare one modest two-story bungalow built of concrete blocks and wood.

This bungalow became the last place where many crews got to spend time with their families before launch.

The historical building has always been simply the "beach house" to generations of astronauts. For years it's been their quiet, unassuming preflight retreat with the nearest neighbours being launch complexes.

2021-06-05 11:50:19 Chubby, microscopic, eight-legged tardigrades, also known as water bears due to their shape under a microscope, possess superpowers when it comes to surviving really harsh conditions.
Understanding how they tolerate extreme environments – including the one astronauts experience in space, with microgravity and elevated radiation levels – can better guide research into protecting humans from the stresses of long-duration space travel.
An experiment starting aboard the International Space Station, called Cell Science-04, will help reveal how tardigrades do it.

Artist Reuben Wu blurs the lines between photography and art in his unique images. Wu travels to remote locations around the world to capture rugged landscapes. But rather than focusing on purely documenting local topography, the artist uses lighted drones to create geometric shapes in the air, accenting the natural surroundings.
