2022-11-18 13:02:01 By adding more visitor slots, Dubai's Museum of the Future is extending its opening hours. Visitors can book slots till as late as 7.30 pm.

The extended slots are now on sale, and the new opening hours will begin on Wednesday, November 30.

Museum of the Future tickets is allocated to specific time slots. To enter the museum, all visitors must book a time slot, even those who qualify for free admission.

The Museum of the Future welcomes its visitors daily from 10 am-9 pm.

2022-11-17 19:01:01 World Police Summit at Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo 2020 Dubai launched the vehicles in March.

They are manufactured in the UAE by Emirati carmaker W Motors. The hardware and software were customized to meet the requirements of Dubai Police.

Thirty per cent of the car’s interior and exterior parts are 3D printed. The cars are equipped with advanced technology, functionality and reliability.

Currently, 10 Ghiath vehicles patrol Dubai's streets. A total of 400 Ghiath patrol cars will be introduced over the next five years.

The vehicles were named Ghiath by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, after his falcon.

In collaboration with its service partner Mawgif, Dubai Airports has launched its brand new mobile payment system - "Scan, Pay and Go" - to make paying for cars at Dubai International (DXB) easier.

By scanning the QR code on their parking entry ticket, DXB car park users are directed to the payment gateway where they can choose one of three secure payment methods - Visa, MasterCard or Apple Pay - to complete their transaction.

The users have a 10-minute window to exit the gate barrier after completing the transaction.

2022-11-16 13:31:02 Three new roads are about to open in Dubai: Al Quoz 2, Nad Al Sheba 2 and Al Barsha South 3.

The opening of the three roads is set to ease traffic on Hessa Street and spans over 37 kilometers.

In addition, four more roads will appear in the emirate, to be opened by 2023:

Margham (on the Dubai Al-Ain Road),
Lahbab (on the Dubai-Hatta Road),
Al Lesaily (by Last Exit and Al Qudra Lake),
Hatta.

Recently in October, Dubai’s RTA announced the launch e-scooters operations in 11 new residential areas in the emirate from the start of 2023.

2022-11-16 09:02:01 Visitors and residents of Dubai are gearing up for the world's largest fun run on November 20 on the Sheikh Zayed Road as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).

The fourth edition of Dubai Run offers runners two routes: a 10km route and a 5km route.

A 5km route begins near the Museum of the Future on Sheikh Zayed Road, passes the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera and ends near Dubai Mall.

While the 10km route follows Sheikh Zayed Road to the Dubai Canal, then returns towards the Trade Centre before ending on Al Mustaqbal Street near DIFC.

The race will start at 6:30 a.m., and the Dubai Metro will be open from 3:30 a.m.

Some roads will be closed to create the Dubai Run routes and ensure a safe space for people to enjoy their runs.

If so, you may have to renew your learning permit in Dubai by visiting the driving centre where you have registered.

This is because learning permits that are issued to learners are active for three months.

When you visit the centre, you must first submit your Emirates ID. Based on the details of your Emirates ID, the driving centre will then check your traffic file in the system to confirm the permit's expiry date.

You would then need to pay the renewal fee, which is Dh120. After you pay the fees, you will receive a text message on your registered phone number with a link to download the digital version of the permit.

According to the RTA's website, a permit will be cancelled again if the road tests are not taken within six months of the renewal date.
