2022-11-02 18:07:00 Fan City, Expo City Dubai's soccer-themed zone, will debut in time for the Qatar World Cup. There are two zones in the area: Jubilee Park, which is family-friendly, and Al Wasl, which is a deluxe experience.

On Sunday, Nov. 20, when the World Cup takes place, Jubilee Park will be open to fans and visitors. In addition to jumbo screens, visitors will be able to enjoy entertainment. The zone can accommodate up to 10 000 visitors.

There will also be a VIP experience in the Al Wasl dome, where four super-large screens will broadcast matches live. A total of 2,500 spectators can watch the show at Al Wasl, which is open from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and then from 10 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

It will be the tenth year of the annual celebration. The first Flag Day was celebrated in 2013.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, vice president and ruler of Dubai, conceived the idea to celebrate Sheikh Khalifa's inauguration as president of the UAE in 2004.

The UAE flag was designed by Abdullah Al Maainah in 1971, inspired by the poet Safiuddin Al Khali. The young Emirati intended the four colours to represent Arab unity, as described in poetry written by Al Hali.

Over the same period, 15,164 new jobs were created through FDI investments and projects, an increase of 33.5% over the previous year.

Dubai retained the top spot for FDI-related jobs among the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries.

Underscoring its focus on investment retention and investor confidence, Dubai ranked fourth globally in FDI reinvestment projects, 10th globally in FDI reinvestment capital inflows, and eighth in the number of jobs created through reinvestment projects.

2022-10-31 20:09:00 As part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an annual sports and wellness festival, Kite Beach has been transformed into a huge fitness zone.

Kite Beach at DP World Fitness Village is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and offers hundreds of activities.

Group workouts will be held on the main stage, rowing classes will be held in the Aviv Tower.
Soccer, basketball and volleyball will be held on the Sports Society's multipurpose court.
There is also a paddle court, a mixed gym class, a children's fitness area, a cricket arena, and a recreation centre for Dubai Chamber Aqua Parks.

All these facilities will be open for guests until November 27.
