Sadly Greek authorities do not deal with Pakistanis properly. They have been known for counterfeiting products (source) and also participating in smuggling gangs, in some cases, pakistani travel agencies have been caught advertising that they would help illegals acquire fake documents as well as producing these documents in extremely large scales (link to related post)

For the last few years, violence acts of Pakistanis in Greece have been happening regularly, while mostly against other pakistanis, the violence has been increasing lately

As it was exposed by Stavroforos_ on twitter, several of these pakistani gangs have become bolder and more violent while some have also started getting involved with human smuggling at the border, something that will most likely lead to these gangs becoming armed gangs in a near future

As it has been reported before in this channel, Pakistanis often work with visas in Greece, while also committing a lot of violent crimes ranging from assault all the way to rape (link to an important related post) and murder on a rather regular basis

After the initial reports that a fire was started on purpose near the Malakasa camp in Lesvos the police arrested the perpetrator, a 31 year old British Citizen

In his possession were found five lighters, a candle, a gas/propane cannister and 3 burner phones without any identification data linked to the phone numbers

Further information about the charges or statements made by the suspect havent been released yet

The Turkish demands for the demilitarization of Greek islands is based on the Lausanne Treaty, of which Turkey is a signatory state and thus, is allowed to invoke the treaty and other signatory states in case there are violations

The first thing to be noted is the fact that the Lausanne treaty does not say that Greek islands must be completely demilitarized which is what Turkey demands

Secondly, the treaty itself forbids Greek aircraft from performing overflight over coastal areas of Turkey as well as forbids Turkey from flying over Greek islands, which is being followed by Greece but not Turkey

The treaty clearly states that Greece is allowed to have a proportional number of military personnel in such islands compared to the rest of the military forces in Greece as well as the number of its citizens who were drafted for military service

In conclusion, Turkey's claims are completely invalid Open / Comment

After repeated claims made by the Turkish government that Greece is housing PKK members and Gulenists in one of its immigration camps, Turkey has summoned Greece's ambassador to Turkey to give explanations. The claims by the Turkish government were denied by the Greek government (source here)

The Lavrio immigrant camp indeed houses Kurds and Turks who have fled Turkey, but their residence in the camp is due to the fact that they tend to arrive at such regions and await their Asylum applications to be reviewed.

Turkey has the tendency to label anyone who is against Erdogan as either a PKK member (if Kurdish) or Gulenist (if Turkish) which has watered down the credibility of such claims substantially. Turkey also claimed in the past that Greece trained PKK and Gulen members
