What are the disadvantages?

One of the main disadvantages of globalization is the loss of cultural identity. As people start to follow different fashion, wear international brands’ clothes and watch foreign TV channels, they gradually shed their own traditions. Instead of wearing traditional outfits, many come to opt for western style of clothing. This may eventually result in people not liking and wearing the clothes that represent their culture. Even worse, people may begin adopting different lifestyle after watching international TV channels. Exposing regularly to foreign ways of life by means of media, they may subconsciously want to lead their life in the same manner, which in turn leads them to lose their own traditions.

2021-06-29 09:39:04 #articleoftheday Yesterday I had to head for one place. Instead of asking my friends how to get there, I just tapped the location on google maps and hit the road. Having read this article, I came to grasp the importance of mental mapping and decided not to use Google Maps anymore.

My report!

The bar chart compares the proportion of Australian boys and girls who engaged in different sport activities after school in 2010. It is clear that Netball was by far the most popular sport among girls while boys showed a keen interest in Football compared to other sports.

In 2010, around 20 percent of Australian school boys played football after school hours. This figure was significantly higher than that of girls whose proportion was at mere 4 percent. However, the number of girls was noticeably more than that of boys when it comes to Netball and Swimming, at around 18 and 16 respectively.

As for the least chosen sports, it can be seen that proportions of boys and girls were all but similar. While the number of boys was slightly higher in Basketball, at 8 percent, it was the proportion of girls who outnumbered in terms of those who did not participate in any type of sports.

There might be some flaws, but you can use them in your writing task 1 when describing graphs with trends) hope it will help you show a wide range of grammatical structures.

2021-06-25 09:23:40 The more a product is advertised, the more people will want to buy it.
To what extent do you disagree with this statement?
Nevertheless, advertising the same product regularly can yield unintended results as well. More often than not, the products whose sales are low are advertised more often than the ones which are going like hot cakes. The minute people see two advertisements of the same product, they tend to form an idea that it may not be good value for money. If it was, the first buyers of that product would have driven the sales through word of mouth recommendations, and there would be no need to promote it this much. Considering this, I would argue that advertising any product or service more can prove counterproductive, meaning that people start to feel reluctant to buy rather than craving for it.
