Some hold the view that newly graduated teachers and medical practitioners should go to rural parts of their country to work for a few years while others feel that they should have freedom of choice when it comes to choosing a workplace. In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints and give my own opinion.

There are two main reasons why some think it is a bad idea to have new teachers and doctors work in rural areas. If these people are assigned to rural parts of their country, it might have a negative effect on young people. Seeing new teachers and doctors being forced to work, albeit for a few years, in the countryside, high school graduates may grow reluctant to pursue these careers. Furthermore, restricting their rights to choose where to work may even lead new teachers and doctors to quit their jobs. This is because they might have chosen these career paths to work at particular schools and hospitals.

However, I believe that new teachers and doctors should work in schools and hospitals located in the country for a few years. One reason is that people living in the countryside may enjoy high-quality education and good health care. More often than not, experienced professionals work in urban areas, meaning that there are not enough medical workers and teachers in the countryside. If newly graduated teachers and doctors are made to work there, local people will have a chance of getting a good education and medical care. Another reason is these young graduates are often inexperienced, and by working there for a few years, they may gain enough experience and confidence. As a result, they may be able to easily land a job when they return back.

To conclude, although making new teachers and doctors work in rural areas might have negative consequences, it may be beneficial for both local people and the professionals themselves. Therefore, I am of the opinion that they should be sent to rural area to work.

Some believe that newspapers are the best way to obtain news while others feel that there are better sources than newspapers. Although other media, such as TV or radio, appear to be advantageous on the face of it, I would argue that newspapers are indeed the best source of news.

There are two sound reasons why some people hold the view that other media, such as TV or radio, are far better means of accessing the news. Firstly, people can easily follow the news on television and the radio. This is because there are news programs that are on air every two hours and most importantly free of charge. By just turning on the TV or radio at the right time, people can watch or listen to them for free. Furthermore, people can get up-to-the-minute news with the aid of these sources. The minute something new happens, reporters and journalists working in television or radio stations arrive at the location and report what has happened.

However, I support those who consider newspapers to be the best way of getting the news. For one thing, newspapers cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from politics to show business. All people have to do is go to the relevant page and read the news on their favourite topics. Another reason is that the arrival of online newspapers has let people receive the news instantly. In the past, a person who wanted to read newspapers had to wait until it was delivered to a doorstep, but nowadays people can obtain the news with one or two touches on their phones.

To conclude, a wide range of topics newspapers cover and their online versions make them better choice than TV or radio even if they offer up-to-date news and a free-of-charge service. Therefore, I am of the opinion that newspapers are by far the best method of accessing the news.
