2022-01-21 07:07:38 How can we hate a person, especially when he is a Muslim?

When we give examples from the religion, people get defensive. So, let's discuss this with an example from a worldly perspective.

There is a person whose father was mercilessly killed by another person (who happens to be a Muslim), or his daughter was raped by a person (a happens to be a Muslim), or his business partner cheated on him and made him broke, or who has been supplying drugs to his son. Do you think he will still love the perpetrators of these crimes only because they are Muslims?

A normal person can't. It is a Fitrah (human nature) that there will be enmity and hatred against these perpetrators.

Similarly, when a person really loves Allaah, His Religion, His Messenger ﷺ, then this person cannot love someone who commits Shirk, or who calls people towards Bid`ah, or who lies about Allaah and His Religion.

Yet, we will strive to call them towards Islaam, upon the true teachings of the Prophet ﷺ, and deal with them with kindness so that they may listen and learn. We will deal with them with Justice, and we will offer our help whenever possible. But we cannot associate with them.

Our hate for them does not mean that we do injustice towards them.

In the end, it is a weakness in our Faith that we give precedence to worldly affairs over the religion of Allaah. We have to understand that Shirk (worshiping other than Allaah) is a bigger crime than murder and rape.

And Allaah is the One Who grants success

2022-01-20 22:58:20 One misconception which people like to spread is:
“We should hate the sin (i.e. the action) and not the sinner (i.e. the one who does it)”, or “We should hate the evil and not the evildoer”, or “We should hate the crime and not the criminal.”

Firstly, those who say the above have no evidence to support their claim. Moreover, if the above was true, then its opposite should also be true:
“We should love the good deed and not the one who does it.”

But this doesn’t make sense, does it?!

Furthermore, it is not for us to define the rules. The rules have already been defined and explained in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger:

Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
❝Whoever LOVES for the sake of Allaah, and HATES for the sake of Allaah, and GIVES for the sake of Allaah and WITHHOLDS for the sake of Allaah, he will have perfect faith.❞
[Sunan Abu Dawood (4681) and Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2521) from the Hadeeth of Muaadh Ibn Anas and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee due to supporting chains]

Still furthermore, where Allaah تعالى says in regards to the ACTION…

وَاللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ

{…and Allaah likes not FASAAD (mischief)}
[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 205]

…Allaah also mentions about the one who is DOING it:

وَاللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

{…and Allaah does not like the MUFSIDOON (mischief-makers)}
[Surah al-Maa’idah (5): 64]

And there are more Aayaat:
{Allaah does not like the transgressors}
[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 190]

{Allaah does not like the sinning disbeliever}
[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 276]

{Allaah does not like the Dhaalimoon (wrong-doers)}
[Surah aal-Imraan (3): 57, 140]

{Allaah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful}
[Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 36]

And the list goes on…

Rather the final nail in the coffin is the following Aayah:

{You will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, LOVING those who OPPOSE Allaah and His Messenger, even though they were their FATHERS or their SONS, or their BROTHERS, or their KINDRED. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Rooh from Himself…}
[Surah al-Mujaadilah (58): 22]

2022-01-19 23:23:34 Do the morning and evening Adhkaar (remembrance of Allaah) diligently and persistently as a means of trying to be nearer to Allaah تعالى. You never know what physical or financial or spiritual problems you'll be protected from on that day or night through those Adhkaar, by the Will of Allaah.

Physical benefit and protection:

When Faatimah رضي الله عنها requested the Prophet ﷺ to provide her with a slave girl to help her around with the house work, the Prophet ﷺ taught her the Dhikr before going to bed and said: ❝...that is better for you than (receiving) a servant.❞
[Saheehain]

Spiritual benefit and protection:

The Prophet ﷺ said: ❝There is (at times) some sort of shade (or veil) upon my heart, and I do Istighfaar (i.e. I seek forgiveness from Allaah) a hundred times a day.❞
[Saheeh Muslim]

NOTE: Those who feel depressed or have any uneasy feeling within themselves should do the same. As Allaah تعالى said:

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّـهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

{Verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest.}
[Surah al-Ra`d(13):28]

Increase in all types of favors in general - in this world and the Hereafter:

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ

{And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed: 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.'}
[Surah Ibraaheem (14): 7]

2022-01-19 05:07:05 Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Saaleh al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

Sometimes Allaah blesses a person in his Time, so that he is able to do a lot of things in less time - otherwise which would have required a lot of time (to accomplish) . And this is from the things that has been witnessed.

And from the greatest things that will help you in achieving this is by beseeching Allaah's عز وجل help and support in all of your affairs. Everything you do, seek Allaah's help in it, so that you do not even rely on yourself. If you rely on yourself, you have relied on someone who is weak and incapable. But if Allaah helps you, then don't ask about the things you would be able to accomplish and the blessings you'll receive in it.

2022-01-18 16:38:17 Some of the signs that a person has been put to trials are:

1 ) When he abandons his religion.

2 )When he lies about Allaah and His religion.

3 ) When he attributes a lie to the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

4 ) When he shaves or trims his beard after having it grow longer.

5 ) When he does what he used to warn against.

6 ) When he aligns upon misguidance with the same people he used to warn against.

7 ) When he abandons his night prayers.

8 ) When he completely abandons the Salaah.

9 ) When a sister abandons her Hijaab.

10 ) When he allows mix gathering.

11 ) When he speaks without knowledge.

12 ) When he interferes in the matters which do not concern him.

13 ) When he does not accept the truth out of pride.

14 ) When he sees the truth, but still clings to the falsehood.

And the list goes on…

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever comes across a person suffering a calamity and says (silently):

الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به ، وفضلني على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلا

(Alhamdulillaahi-ladhee aafaanee mimmaa ibtalaaka bih, wa fadh-dhalanee alaa katheerim mimman khalaqa tafdheelaa)

‘All praise is for Allah Who saved me from that which He tested you with and Who most certainly favored me over much of His creation.’

HE WILL BE KEPT SAFE FROM THAT CALAMITY ”

[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3431, 3432) on the authority of Abu Hurairah and `Umar رضي الله عنهما, and graded as “Hasan li ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (602)]

2022-01-18 14:15:06 Get your priorities straight

Even though Shirk & Bidah is spreading...
...people remain silent, saying: ❝you don't know what is in the heart.❞

Even though wanton display (Tabarruj by women and girls) is spreading...
...people remain silent, saying: ❝you don't know what is in the heart.❞

Even though vices (intoxicants/drugs/fornication etc) are spreading...
...people remain silent, saying: ❝you don't know what is in the heart.❞

But when the price of commodities increases...
...people come out to the streats, PROTESTING & SHOUTING: ❝the one who remains silent is a mute Shaitaan❞, ❝resist the oppression❞.

Indeed! What we suffer is because of our own doings:

أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ ...
{(What is the matter with you?) When a single disaster smites you...

... قُلْتُمْ أَنَّىٰ هَـٰذَا ۖ قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمْ
...you say: "From where does this come to us?" Say (to them): "IT IS FROM YOURSELVES (because of your evil deeds)."}

2022-01-17 17:21:48 Does the prayer of women differ from that of men?!

Maailk Ibn al-Huwairith رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ❝Pray as you have seen me praying.❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (631, 6008, 7246)]

Umm al-Dardaa’ used to sit in the Salaah like men and she was a woman well-versed (in religious knowledge).
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (1/165)]

Question: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stated: ❝Pray in the same manner you have seen me praying.❞ We understand from this Hadeeth that there is no difference between a man and a woman as far as the manner of performing Salaah (Prayer) is concerned. I have been acting upon this Hadeeth since I attained the age of pubescence. However, some women in Kenya consider my Salaah invalid because the manner I perform it resembles the way men perform it. They claim that women are not allowed to place their hands on their chests like men do and that they are not required to level their backs while in Rukoo as the case is with men. I would like you to clarify for me whether there is really a difference between how a man and a woman offer Salah.

SHAIKH IBN BAAZ رحمه الله:
❝Dear sister in Islaam, the correct view is that there is no difference between a man and a woman as far as performance of Salaah is concerned. There is no evidence to support the views held by some scholars that a woman’s manner of performing Salaah differs from that of a man. The Hadeeth which you mentioned in the question which reads: ❝Pray in the same manner as you have seen me praying❞, addresses all Muslims men and women alike. The general rule is that Islaamic laws are applicable to all Muslims unless there exists some evidence that specifies a certain category.

It is an act of Sunnah for a woman to perform Salaah in the same manner as men are ordered to perform it. This includes Rukoo(bowing), Sujud (prostration), placing the hands on the chest when in the standing position, spreading the fingers out on the knees when in the bowing position, placing the two palms on the ground when in the prostrating position, raising the hands parallel to the shoulders or earlobes, and leveling the back in Rukoo. The woman should also repeat the same Duaa (supplications) and Adhkaar (remembrance of Allaah) which men recite in the different positions of Salaah. This is based on the Hadeeth in which the Prophet ﷺ stated: ❝Pray as you have seen me praying❞. Narrated by Al-Bukhaaree in his Saheeh.❞
[Majmoo Fataawa Ibn Baaz (11/79-80)]

SHAIKH AL-ALBAANEE رحمه الله:
All that has been mentioned of the description of the Prophet's prayer ﷺ applies equally to men and women, for there is nothing in the Sunnah to necessitate the exception of women from any of these descriptions; in fact, the generality of his ﷺ statement: ❝Pray as you have seen me praying❞, includes women. This is the view of Ibraaheem al-Nakhee, who said: ❝A woman’s actions in the prayer are the same as a man’s❞ -transmitted by Ibn Abi Shaibah in Musannaf (2788), with a Saheeh Sanad from him. Also, al-Bukhaaree reported in at-Taareekh al-Sagheer (p. 95) with a Saheeh Sanad from Umm al-Dardaa’ that she used to sit in her prayer just as a man sits, and she was a woman of understanding. The Hadeeth about the Indimaam (tucking up) of a woman in prostration, and that she is in that regard not like a man, is Mursal and not authentic. Abu Daawood transmitted it in al-Maraaseel on the authority of Yazeed ibn Abi Habeeb. As for what Imaam Ahmad has reported, as in his son Abdullaah’s Masaa'il, from Ibn Umar, that he used to instruct his wives to sit cross-legged in prayer, its Sanad is not authentic, for it contains Abdullaah Ibn Umar al-Amri, who is a Da'eef (weak) narrator.
[Sifah Salaah al-Nabee ﷺ of Shaikh al-Albaanee]

Note: The statement of Ibraaheem al-Nakhee, who said: ❝A woman’s actions in the prayer are the same as a man’s❞ the actual wording reported in Musannaf is: ❝The woman sits in the prayer same way as a man.❞ Shaikh al-Albaanee might have reported the meaning of this narration from his memory.

2022-01-16 15:04:31 The Best Rows For Women:

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ❝The best rows for men are the first rows, and the worst ones the last ones; and the best rows for women are the last ones and the worst ones for them are the first ones.❞
[Saheeh Muslim (440)]

Shaikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said (paraphrased):
❝ The Hadeeth is authentic.
But the scholars have differed on its interpretation, saying that this Hadeeth refers to the situation where there is no barrier between the men and women.
If the women are completely hidden from the men, then in this situation, then the best rows for women are the first ones, and the worst rows are the last ones, similar to that of men.
And upon them is to complete the row, then the one behind it.
And to close the gaps between them (i.e., standing shoulder to shoulder) just like men.❞
