“(The pain) of what has passed cannot be removed by grieving over it, but only through:
Acceptance (i.e. being pleased with Allaah's Decree) (al-Ridhaa),
Gratitude (al-Hamd),
Patience (al-Sabr),
Faith in Predestination (al-Imaan bil-Qadr),
and the saying of the slave: “It is the decree of Allaah and what He Wills He Does” (قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ)"

10. Do not block the path of response with sins:

Yahya bin Muaadh al-Raazee used to say: “The response is not delayed when you supplicate, except for when you have already blocked its path with sins.”

Thaubaan رضي الله عنه, the freed slave of Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said that the Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Make frequent prostrations before Allaah, for you will not perform one prostration to Allaah, except Allaah will raise you one degree in status thereby, and remove one sin from you, because of it.”
[Saheeh Muslim (488), Sunan Ibn Maajah (1423) and Sunan al-Nasaa’ee (1139)]

Abu Faatimah رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “O Abu Faatimah! Make lot of prostrations, for no Muslim prostrates to Allaah تعالى but He تعالى will raise him in status one degree thereby.”
[Musnad Ahmad (15527, 15528) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1519)]

Abu Faatimah رضي الله عنه reported: I said: O Messenger of Allaah! Tell me of a deed that I can adhere to and act upon. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Upon you is prostration, for you will not prostrate to Allaah but He تعالى will raise you in status one degree thereby and erase from you one sin.”
[Sunan Ibn Maajah (1422) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

`Ubaadah bin Saamit رضي الله عنه said that he heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: “No one prostrates to Allaah تعالى except that Allaah تعالى will record for him one good deed and thereby will erase one bad deed and raise him in status one degree. So prostrate a great deal.”
[Sunan Ibn Maajah (1424) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

9. Receive the Glad Tidings:

Al-Hassan said regarding the statement of Allaah تعالى:

﴿ادْعُونِى أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ﴾

{Invoke Me, I will respond to your (invocation)} [Surah al-Ghaafir (40): 60]

He said: “Work towards it (meaning: supplicate) and receive the glad tidings. Verily! It is a right upon Allaah عز وجل to respond to the invocations of those who Believe and do righteous deeds and He تعالى will add even more for them out of His Grace.”
[al-Tabaraanee in al-Duaa (9) as well as in his Tafseer (2/94)]

2021-10-17 21:59:29 Allaah تعالى said:

وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

{And be patient, and your patience is not but through Allaah.}
[Surah al-Nahl (16): 27]

al-Hasan al-Basree said:
❝Sabr (patience) is a treasure from the treasures of goodness, and Allaah does not give it (to anyone) except the slave who is more noble to Him.❞

8. Concentrate while supplicating:

Abu Bakr al-Shiblee said regarding the statement of Allaah تعالى:

﴿ادْعُونِى أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ﴾

{Invoke Me, I will respond to your (invocation)} [Surah al-Ghaafir (40): 60]

He (al-Shiblee) said: It means: “Call Me without negligence, and I’ll respond to your (invocation) without limit.”

2021-10-16 22:50:30 The trials in life...
...are not for testing your personal (physical and mental) strength!

Rather, it is to test the strength...
...of (how much) you beseech Allaah for help, and (how much) Trust you have in His (promises)!

7. When you feel your prayers are not being answered, then upon you is to do Tawbah (turn to Allaah in repentance) and lots of Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness):

Alee bin Abu Taalib رضي الله عنه said: “A calamity does not descend except due to a sin, and it is not lifted except with repentance.”
[al-Jawaab al-Kaafee (85)]

A man once complained to Hassan Al-Basri رحمه الله of drought and shortage of water. Hassan said to him: “Ask Allaah for forgiveness.” Another man complained of poverty, and his reply was: “Ask Allaah for forgiveness.” A third complained: “O Abu Saeed (Hassan Al-Basri), pray to Allaah that he bestow upon me a child for I am childless”, and he replied: “Ask Allaah for forgiveness.” The fourth one complained that his harvest had failed, and Hassan replied in the same way. So one of those who were sitting (in the gathering) said: “There came to you men with different complaints but you instructed them all to repent to Allaah and ask Him for forgiveness?” So Al-Hassan replied that Allaah says (in the Qur’aan):

﴿ فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاء عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا ﴾

{I (Nuh) said (to them): ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-forgiving; He will send rain to you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.}
[Surah An-Nuh (71): 10-12]
