Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:

«من دلائل رقة قلب المؤمن، أن يتوجع لعثرة أخيه المؤمن إذا عثر، حتى كأنه هو الذي عثر بها، ولا يشمت به.»

❝From the signs of the softness of the heart of the believer is that when his Muslim brother falls and stumbles, the believer feels pain due to this, so much so that it is as if he himself fell and stumbled, and he should not rejoice at his tragedy.❞

shaykh Sālih al Fawzān حفظه الله said:

The statement, “I listen to nashīds as an alternative to music”, is like the one who says, “I wash urine (away) with urine.”

[At-Taleeq ala Ighaathatul Lahfaan 26/5/1437]

Imām Ash-Shāfi’ī رحمه الله said: "Thagbir (Anāshid) were created by heretics to distance people away from the Qur'ān."

[مجموع الفتاوى لإبن تيمية ١١ \ ٥٣٢ ]

Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: "There's no such thing as 'islamic nashīd', this is the innovation of sūfīs, it is not permissible to promote them."

Which is more severe as a sin: listening to singing or listening to anāshīd?

Al-Allāmah Ahmad an-Najmī رحمه الله said:

“Indeed, songs are disobedience and the one who persists in (listening to) them is a fasiq (sinner) while anashid are innovations and the one who persists in (listening to) them is a mubtadi' (innovator). And the fasiq is less evil than the mubtadi'...”

Sh. Ṣāliḥ Āl ash-Shaykh Hafiẓahullāh: “Imām Aḥmad Raḥimahullāh said regarding at-Taghbeer which was innovated by Soofiyyah, and it resembles with the Anāsheed of today, that it is a NEWLY INNOVATED BID’AH, and the sole purpose of it is to drive people away from the Qur’ān.”

Remember,

• Shaytan will say to you;
- Your sins are too much
- Allah won't forgive you
- It is already late to repent
- So just continue sinning!

• That is completely deceptive;
- Allah forgive all sins including Shirk
- Once you sincerely repent, He will forgive you In Shaa Allah.

Therefore;
- Don’t think your sins are too much to be forgiven
- It is already late to repent
- Don’t say I will repent later!

Just repent, it will only be late when the angel of death meets you.

May Allāh Azza Wa Jall forgive us all , Āmeen.

May Allāh Azza Wa Jall inspire us with the reality , Āmeen.

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. Qur'an 51:55

عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ الْأُسَيْدِيِّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ
مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ عَلَى
وُضُوئِهَا
وَمَوَاقِيتِهَا
وَرُكُوعِهَا
وَسُجُودِهَا
يَرَاهَا حَقًّا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ
حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
“Whoever guards the five prayers,
their ablution,
their timing,
their bowing,
and their prostration,
and knowing they are the right of Allah over him,
then Allah will forbid him from entering Hellfire.
