Niantic advises that each quarter, remaining game changes put in place due to the covid pandemic will be re-evaluated, with a notice period of four weeks in case of changes.

2021-12-19 13:56:04 There is new information about the drone kit!

Niantic confirms that the Drone Mark III Biocard contains a passcode that grants a new Drone Medal for the profile. Unfortunately, it is not known how it looks yet.

Niantic also confirmed the exact contents of the kit. Instead of what we assumed, there will be an "IQtech Dronenet" patch and a "Drone Mark III" pin in addition to the stickers.

Pre-orders will start Dec. 20th at 5:00 AM UTC. From then on you can use the following link to pre-order the kit, which will be shipped starting December 27.

2021-12-18 02:40:55 Niantic announced the changelog for the upcoming 2.87.1 Ingress Prime version.

In this version, a link to the support page for Ingress account deletion was added to the Settings to comply to the updated app guidelines together with Portal Scan Meshing support for Apple's iPhone 13.

Niantic has updated their store front page, and it now contains a short message announcing a new Ingress Kit launching December 27th with preorders starting on December 20th.

An image on the front page carousel also shows the following items:

2021-12-16 18:30:27 The Ingress anime is bound for Blu-Ray! The team at Sentai Filmworks has opened Pre-Orders for the "Ingress the Animation" Collection, which includes all 11 Episodes, the creditless Opening and Ending sequence and two Japanese promotional videos. The Episodes will have both English dubbing and the original Japanese one with subtitles.

The Collection costs $48.99 and will release on March 29, 2022. Please note that Sentai can accept pre-orders to Canada and the United States at this moment. Once the Blu-Ray is officially released, it can be shipped to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Nordic countries.

2021-12-15 23:48:48 Say hello to the year 2022! Niantic has released details for the New Year's event.

From December 20, 5pm UTC to January 3, 5pm UTC, the following bonuses will be active:

2x AP for activating fireworks, frackers, beacons and battle beacons.
Drone cooldown reduced to 22 minutes
Kinetic capsule distance reduced to 4km
+220 AP for each newly visited portal (As indicated by the "Visited" layer in the scanner).

A new medal will make its way into the store, which can be purchased for 2500 CMU. In addition, there will be a free bundle with blue and green fireworks.

Additionally, each day there will be a new, free bundle of items that can be claimed in the store. Among them is the new, Rare Battle Beacon, which has not yet been officially released!
