2021-06-12 00:07:15 Niantic added a new challenge to the Mod Madness Weekend event, started tonight.
Agents are required to deploy a total of 1.5 million MODs during the event to make the 75 AP gain for MODs destroyed a permanent addition!

2021-06-10 19:42:03 Niantic just released details for the return of Ingress Live Events!

Second Sundays Mission Days will be introduced starting July 11th!
Next dates will be August 8th and September 12th.

Additionally, the NL-1331 vehicle is back on the move! Its first stop will be in Oakland, CA during the July 9th weekend!

More details on both live events will be available soon, stay tuned!

"Alright Niantic, it’s one of those posts again, but dammit if it isn’t needed. It’s a really, really long post, so grab some snacks and get comfy. TL;DR: For the love of god, work on your Communication, and pronto."

2021-06-10 01:39:52 Mercury is currently in retrograde, so Niantic announced a new special Event to help protect our Portal Network.

From Friday, June 11th 16:00 UTC to Monday, June 14th 16:00 4PM UTC Agents will benefit from:
• 60 15 Minutes Drone cooldown
• 2x AP for deploying Mods
• 0 75 AP for destroying Mods
• 2 4 Mods deployable per Agent

No medal or Agent stat will be available during the event.

Additionally, a free bundle will be added to the in-app store:
MOD Bundle (0 CMU)
• 1x Force Amp
• 1x Turret
• 1x Common Multi Hack
• 1x Common Portal Shield
• 1x Common Heat Sink

2021-06-09 01:04:03 Release notes for Ingress Prime 2.73.1 were released tonight.

In this version, the team has fixed some issues regarding a crash occurring when attacking Portals, Japanese and Chinese text input and the Access level insufficient error during the initial tutorial.

The team also released some additional information about fixes in the next version, which is currently being worked on:
Agents playing on iPhone SE (2020) can circumvent pinnch-to-zoom issues by double tapping and then dragging up or down to zoom while the issue is being fixed along with the crash that can occur (on all devices) when uploading Portal Scans.

The 4M Captured Portals threshold for the Operation Sentinel Global Challenge has been reached and surpassed!

This means that Agents will be able to choose, by voting on a poll on the Community Forums, which will be the next Program added to Kinetic Capsules!
