In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.

What are the reasons for this? How can people research this?

Learning about the history of one's accommodation is becoming increasingly popular. There are two main incentives for doing so, and internet archives seem to be the best avenue for this research.

Exploring the origins of residential buildings can be important in two primary ways. Firstly, it is possible that some old structures run the risk of collapsing, hence the need to prevent that. If the building is too old, for example, its residents may be putting their lives under threat, especially when no repair works were undertaken in the recent past. This underscores the importance of researching the history of where people live, as it helps to ensure the safety of the residents. Another plausible explanation is connected to the hidden value certain buildings can have. It is not unlikely that families who used to live in those areas belonged to affluent or royal families. If that were to be the case, such a discovery would certainly generate large profits through re-sale or renting of the residence.

Turning to possible methods of research, perhaps the most effective approach is to look into archived files available online. Information on internet libraries is usually reliable, as opposed to any other type of investigation (such as asking the neighbors). In addition to this, researching on the internet is virtually free and can be performed in the comfort of one's home.

In conclusion, preventing the possibility of collapse, together with effort to generate extra income, seems to be the primary motivation for taking interest in the history of residential buildings. Exploring online archives appears to be the most efficient way to conduct such research.

2022-06-03 09:35:16 Let's answer million-dollar question :

Why isn't the speaking club free of charge?

Free of charge courses are, imo , one of the greatest opportunities to seize without sacrificing any of your valuable resources which is MONEY nowadays. And you think you will be very committed to the course as it is at first free and secondly beneficial. But NO.... you are making a big mistake by forgetting one unchangeable fact about yourself. I.e. You are a HUMAN. That means with high possibility you don't act that passionately for the free stuff as you do for those you pay. Believe me, I have done bunch of stuff for free so far, such as teaming up with my course mates and prep for smth, teaching relatives helping out my friends to name but a few. And came to the conclusion that nobody, absolutely nobody cares that much when they don't exchange their resources with the knowledge or anything like that. At last but not the least, nobody including me, Aydariya and Dilnoza learnt any of the things we will be teaching and doing for the participants for free. It always came at the expense of something either money or energy.

Your conclusions....

Google the topic in different ways. But not the written essays for them. Again google the topic itself. For example, if the question is about crime at young age then learn this topic including the consequences, the underlying reasons, who mostly commit crimes etc.

Google the topic and mention the source. I personally search the topic with the source mentioned such as newspapers, articles to name but a few.

Analyse model answers, preferably Simon's essays as he writes in a crystal clear way. Check out the post which elaborate on the analyzing model essays.

Brainstorm. First of all understand the question fully! Then simply switch off your logic and let the ideas flow. Put yourself in different positions I.e. try to think what other group of people or people in different fields would say. Once you have 4-5 logical+illogical ideas then don't forget to switch your logic back on and chose two logical ones to which you can give enough support and examples.

To never forget the ideas, write down buch of questions based on what you learnt from model essays, articles or videos(Ted Talks). Revise the questions from time to time and answer them actively don't just skim them through.

Videotape, record or simply retell the topic and the ideas you generated in front of a mirror.

To master the certain topic even better write in different positions. That is to say, if the question is asking you to what extend you agree or disagree the writte several essays, with the first one being 100% agree and the next 100% disagree, for example. In this way you will be flexible when you face this topic ever again.

Read, read and again read. Everybody becomes creative if they read a lot!
