2021-12-05 08:17:26 A man came to Abdullah bin Masud (رضى الله عنه) and said to him: "Advise me."

He (رضى الله عنه) said: "When you hear Allah's statement: O you who believe! – then pay full attention, for it is a righteous matter that He is ordaining or an evil thing that He is forbidding."

2021-12-04 14:39:34 The SIN of a person who KILLED an INNOCENT Dhimi (a non-Muslim living in a Muslim state and enjoying the protection of Muslims)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever killed a Mu'ahid (a person who is granted the pledge of protection by the Muslims) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years (of traveling)."

"Whoever kills a Mu'ahid who has the protection of Allah and the protection of His Messenger, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance may be detected from a distance of seventy years."

"Whoever kills a man from among Ahl Adh-Dhimmah (a non-muslim living under muslims protection) he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance may be detected from a distance of seventy years."

When a man enters upon his wife for the first time, he should take her forelock in his hand and pray for blessing (by saying):

« اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ »

(Allahumma inni as'aluka khairaha wa khaira ma jabaltaha alaihi, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa min sharri ma jabaltaha alaihi)

O Allah! I ask You of the good in her, and the good of what You have bestowed upon her (in her character). And I seek Your refuge from her evil, and the evil of what you have bestowed upon her (in her character).

"Whoever defends/protects the reputation/honour of his brother, Allah will defend his face from the Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection."

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي

"O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness).

وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي

And ease my task for me;

وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي

And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech)

يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

That they understand my speech."
