Did you know that this Variegated Green Skimmer (Orthetrum sabina) is one of the more ferocious species of dragonflies, being a fast flyer that even preys on others?

This species is commonly seen in a variety of open wetlands such as in Kent Ridge Park, Toa Payoh Town Park, and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park – keep a look out for this “dragon” with a distinctive pale greenish colour when you’re there!
