If you want to catch scenic views along a waterfront promenade, then add Woodlands Waterfront Park to your list!

Our colleague Jessica takes you on a virtual walk, complete with a guide on how to get there and what to check out.

Watch more videos about our green spaces on NParksSG YouTube playlist!

If you are heading out to our parks and gardens, do remember to observe safe distancing and keep to groups of no more than 8 people, with no intermixing between groups.

One of the most common small herons here, the Striated Heron (Butorides striata) can usually be spotted near any water body. A strict carnivore, its diet consists mainly of fish and sometimes, amphibians and other creatures.

Knock, knock! Who’s there?

Woodpeckers are a family of birds that include flickers, sapsuckers, piculets, and wrynecks. They are well known for their foraging behaviour of pecking trees to hunt for insect prey, and their drumming can be heard from a distance away. Their diet can also include fruits, nuts, seeds, and even small animals and tree sap.
