2023-04-21 09:12:11 DREAMS AND GRAVEYARDS

The past is somewhat like a graveyard,
Whether those we visit there bring happiness or sorrow we can do no more than look,
One directional conversations and a paralyzing realization that the end is real and that it has happened is what we are offered,

There is a familiarity in the feeling of fingers clawing at our chest,
Clawing to fight this distant pain they know they can never reach,
The tears we wish could roll back because we know this kind of salt doesn't heal wounds,
We keep getting lost at the crossroads of things we wish we hadn't done, the things we wish we had done and the things we wish we had done better,
Eventhough we made those crossroads and have walked them many times before,

It's a futile routine that comes with a pinch of amnesia so we don't quite remember its futility when we repeat it,
But I don't suppose anyone could say they've done different,
How could one deny that the past is a drug that has permanent residence in our blood,
That we are all addicts of some sort,
The regret, nostalgia, memories, ruins...the pain,

So why then do we keep coming back?
Do we not know we can't breath life into bone?
That we are resented by these graves for standing above them?
That we disturb their peace as much as they do ours?
We don't belong there any more than the past belongs in the present,
And so the question forms itself,
How many years must we spend on spent years?

2023-04-21 02:51:06 If I'm too much, I set you free, so you can find someone less. If my love is like a cage for you, then I set you free, so you can fly high with your fragile wings. If my love stings like fire on your skin, I will set you free and I will extinguish the flame. If my love suffocates you, I set you free, so no one will suffocate you anymore with good guidance. If my light is too blinding to your eyes for you who are more addicted to being in the dark, then I remove myself from the equation and, with a little bit of cruelty, let you rust in the dark. My love has become blurry and unable to coruscate in the dark. Now I realize that not all flowers can bloom even though their roots are planted in fertile soil. I'm too much for you who wander frantically seeking for something less. Perhaps a dark chamber or barren field is a place that makes you feel safe. Let the tears burn my cheeks. Let disenchantment swallow me. I shall break the chain to breathe. I gave you too much, but I didn't lose anything. I can't help you anymore. I don't hate you, but it's time I have to help myself. 2023-04-21 00:43:45 Discovering happiness together

Perhaps I've stumbled upon the truth,
That happiness can be found in unexpected places uncouth,
With someone who can inspire and renew,
And guide me on a journey of self-discovery anew.

Her eyes so full of wonder and grace,
Posing questions I had no answer to face,
Together we set out on a quest,
To find happiness, with no idea of what's best.

As we embarked on our introspective sojourn,
A great idea to me it was never borne,
But she believed, and I soon began to see,
That the path to happiness starts with me.

Now, with smiles on our faces and different in essence,
We found our lost happiness, with no pretense,
In our own way, it didn't matter,
For what matters most is us, and our joyous chatter.

So let us cherish this newfound bliss,
And never again take it for granted or dismiss,
For we matter, our happiness and well-being,
Are the most precious gifts we can be freeing.

I knew you were capable of leaving.
But you forgot,
I never retrace efforts back.
I forgive you for that,
because I knew the exact time it would
happen.
And like always you never disappoint me.
How come you wouldn't regret
the first message you made, love?
People come and go,
it's a beautiful interchange.
But when you don't feel anything while
they leave, you know it was never
meant to be.
And that's still okay.
The least of all is that, we do have the ability
to forgive them for wasting our time.
Just because their personality grows
on you, doesn't mean you are incapable
of moving on.
It's easy.
And I know, you can do it as well love.
