Mortal hearts yearn to take to the sky,
But with clanging machines they try,
Their crafts wrought with metal and steel,
A far cry from what birds conceal.

For a feathered friend, no need for weighty wings,
With grace they glide on the wind's gentle flings,
Soaring above with effortless ease,
A sight that leaves humans to seize.

Yet, with ambition and our crafty mind,
We dare to chase what we may not find,
Building wonders that reach the sky,

2023-04-19 18:02:23 Maybe I did stoop so low, already dug my nails in the bottom though my fangs look up to the far, far away moonlit sky.

Maybe I lied, hidden things and left them behind me on the stars, and maybe I just told you what you wanted to hear.

But I know, that's better than lying to myself.

for I adore how mornings feel beside you,
every breeze that caresses wrapped in scents of buds just bloomed,
as if they too are in love, enough to offer it around,

and for the nights passing by with our breaths slowly receding the remnants of the heat we let simmer through the day,
just to let it loose in the cold winds folding us in closer under the canopy of stars.

Burned pages of memories, now just remains.
A twist of fate, an injury so dire,
Memories wiped out , as if by fire.

Was it coincidence or something more,
That on the same day,
both were no more?
A life once lived, now just a haze,
A story untold, lost in the blaze.

But from the ashes, a new tale now begins,
A chance to start over and make new feelings.
Though memories lost, the future is still bright,
A blank page is waiting, for a new life to write.
