Indifference is the path to success

Indifference is an excellent choice for manipulation. We all remember those stories from high school when a guy runs after a girl and she "doesn't care.

And he starts running around even more. Sound familiar?

How to apply it?

Show the object of manipulation that you have little to lose if he does not agree to your terms. You can also "finish" the phrase "if you're against it, I understand.

Such a behavior you convince the victim that she needs you more than you do in her.

In the meantime, the chances of your success increase.

"I saw everything and I know the truth!!!"

Alleged "eyewitnesses" of the events report with the necessary sincerity the lies told in advance by the manipulators, passing them off as the truth.

Such a technique influences the audience by arousing feelings and emotions, but in no way stimulates logical reasoning.

As a result, critical thinking is impaired and you let the information pass without seeing its falsity.

You begin to unconsciously associate yourself with an unbiased bystander and trust him far more than an expert.

Quotes as a Manipulator's Weapon

Politicians have long understood that large masses of people are much easier to manipulate by force of imagination than by brute physical force.

The use of quotations
This is a subtle trick, they are taken out of context and skillfully embedded in the essence they need.

For example,
Barack Obama once quoted holy tablets from the Bible in his inauguration speech, wanting to emphasize his role as the "savior" of the people of the United States.

In order to present a politician to the audience in the most favorable light, the most effective impact is caused by aphorisms, quotations from the Bible, literary works and constitutions.

A kind word is nice to the cat, but even more so to the victim.

If you want to criticize your interlocutor in something or somehow point out his shortcomings, but at the same time to preserve the relationship, it is better to take my little advice.

First of all, do it in private.

Secondly, before you cut the truth and everything else, praise the person. It absolutely does not matter what exactly you will praise, the main thing - specifically for something and not duty phrases.

For example: "I appreciate you, Mike/Peter/Marty, for your scrupulousness and balanced decision-making, and I thank you for your caring attitude towards the problem. But, I noticed..."

No halftones!

There are situations when it is necessary to create the illusion of limited choices.
As if there were only two options in the "yes" and "no" categories. Only black or white, and no halftones.

Better yet, deliberately rushing the victim, not giving him time to think.

And the cherry on the cake of manipulation can be the phrase: "Are you either with me, or against me?

Manipulation with a sauce of drama.

We people are very hungry for emotion.

We love all this drama, scandal. And that's what we get "caught up" in.

For example, on the pages of bloggers.

There is a problem: divorce / illness / somewhere they were cheated, beaten ... some even the death of loved ones is not squeamish. And they show it all, complaining, crying as "the closest ones".

And on the wave of "heartwarming" stories they start selling courses, advertising something and so on.

And many people fall for it. Some empathize, some condemn, but there is a reaction.

Technique for Maintaining Concentration - Tomato Method

As promised, I'm sharing another technique for maintaining concentration. It's called the tomato method.

The author of this technique invented the idea of dividing the process of doing work into short intervals, each of which was followed by small pauses.

The tool that helped him to measure time was an ordinary kitchen timer in the form of a tomato. Thus the technique got its name.

The technique involves dividing tasks into 30-minute periods called "Tomatoes" (25 minutes - work, 5 minutes - break). Every 4 Tomatoes is a long break.

In simple words: start a timer and work without a break for 25 minutes, then give 5 minutes to rest and repeat the cycle again ... The technique is simple but very effective.

I have described a classical type of this technique, but I prefer to work in 20 minute segments (15 + 5). Try it!

You need a common enemy.

Nothing brings people together like having a common enemy. And even if you don't have one, you can create one.

You should tell your victim very confidentially that someone has spoken ill of her, such as a supervisor or a colleague. That is it, the seed of dislike is sown.

What have we accomplished?

We have off-balanced the victim, focused his attention and aggression on the "enemy. And all this gives us a good opportunity to get what we want.

As a bonus, you can make an "enemy" out of your personal detractor. Here we kill two birds with one stone.

The Three Yeses Reception

A very well-known technique. Its meaning - in asking questions to which the interlocutor will answer positively, in "programming" the opponent to agree with your position.

First, ask your opponent three simple questions, the answer to which no doubt will be "yes.
The fourth to fifth is your main question, to which he automatically also answer "YES".

The danger is that the technique is really known.
And it should only be used when negotiating with a simple opponent, not very sophisticated in negotiations.
