#CERR analyzed changes in the real estate market in Uzbekistan in April 2021.

An increase in the demand in these markets during January-April indicates a full recovery of economic activity in Uzbekistan.

In April 2021, the number of real estate contracts signed in the country amounted to 20.8 thousand, which is 2.5% more than in March, an increase is 28.1% as compared to that in April 2019 (16.2 thousand).

Due to the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020, this figure fell to 2.1 thousand, which was 87.6% less than in February and 86.1% less than in March.

The real estate market is supported by the program, which began in early March this year. The total amount of funding for housing construction programs in Uzbekistan is 1.1 billion soums.

#Review of weekly prices: focus on vegetable oil

The recent surge in prices caused by the increased demand for this product in the external market and as a consequence, the desire of entrepreneurs to get super-high profits led to the introduction of market-stabilizing measures by the state

#CERR continuously monitors prices in the domestic market

The average price by the end of the week for a liter of vegetable oil decreased by 0.5% to 19,104 soums

The level of average prices was in the range from 17,218 soums per liter in the Andijan region to 20,596 soums in Tashkent

In terms of districts, the largest decrease in the price per liter of vegetable oil is noted in Vabkent (by 8.3%), Turtkul (by 6.3%), Dzhambai (by 5.5%), Elikalinsky (by 5.4%), Pakhtachi (5.1%), Mirzachul (5%) regions

2021-05-05 11:13:41 #CERR comment on the pricing of vegetable oil in Uzbekistan

The growth of import prices for vegetable oil is influenced by the introduction of export restrictions by partner countries.

Another factor influencing the rise in prices is the expected entry into force of the law on VAT exemption for imports of vegetable oil. As a result it led to the accumulation of excess volumes of vegetable oil in customs warehouses.

At the same time, the growth in prices for vegetable oil has actually stopped.

Last week there was a decrease in the growth of prices for vegetable oil by 1.5%, and a week earlier by 5%.

These market indicators show stabilization of price level for vegetable oil.
