At the II International Tiger Forum, the Republic of Kazakhstan will present its stand and will tell about the program for restoring the tiger population in the region.

12 years ago, St. Petersburg hosted the first International Tiger Forum, during which the Global Tiger Recovery Program was adopted, aimed at doubling the tiger population in nature by 2022. At this Forum the Government of Kazakhstan announced its readiness to return the predator to Central Asia.

In the coming years, close cooperation in the implementation of the program between Kazakhstan and Russia is planned. Corresponding memorandum will be signed at the International Tiger Forum in Vladivostok.

On September 8, 2022, as part of the EEF business programme, the Youth Eastern Economic Forum will be held for the second time on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.

The countries of South and Southeast Asia have become particularly important strategic partners in the current circumstances, including in matters of educational exchange and the creation of joint projects within the framework of youth cooperation.

Youth EEF business programme will be dedicated to:
youth entrepreneurship and its role in the economic growth of the country;
opportunities and limitations of bringing Russian startups to Asian markets and cross-cultural issues of such cooperation etc.

Participants will identify the main tools that can be used to create new long-term sustainable forms of cooperation, discuss the prospects for further development of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation, industrial cooperation. 2022-08-19 13:27:27 Russian companies can get major contracts within the framework of the railway construction project in Saudi Arabia and become the main partner in the implementation of the largest railway project, said Stanislav Yankovets, Russia's Trade representative in Saudi Arabia.

The Trans-Arabian Railway connecting Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Middle East. Its length is 2,100 km.

The cost of the project is estimated at $250 billion. Russia has repeatedly shown interest in participating in this project both in terms of construction and equipment (Russian Railways) and the supply of rolling stock (Uralvagonzavod, Sinara Group of companies Transport Machines, United Wagon Company, Transmashholding).

The exposition on the Ajax Bay embankment will open on September 5, the first day of the EEF. The exhibition will present the unique features of the Far East, the economic potential of all 11 Far Eastern regions-subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, their tourist opportunities and cultural traditions. The regions will introduce participants and guests of the Forum to implemented and promising investment projects.

Special emphasis of the exhibition will be placed on the presentation of import substitution opportunities and technological independence of the regions of the Far East.
