Thaddeus has completed 6 cycles of chemotherapy, tumour removal surgery and is undergoing a chemotherapy + immunotherapy phase which consists of 5 cycles.

Following this, the treatment will include stem cell transplant with high dose chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy and maintenance therapy consisting of a series of injections (vaccine) done overseas. The family expects treatment to last well into 2023. Thaddeus has completed 13 hospital stays since Oct 21 and expects more in this year. The cost of Thaddeus’ treatment, even after claiming from the insurer, amount to approx. SGD $1.7 mil. The bulk of the cost is from the use of Hu3F8 (Naxitamab) in immunotherapy.

The 4G Team has proven themselves through the handling of this pandemic where they had kept the supply chains going, ensured essential supplies and food supplies, prevented deep scaring of the economy through lockdown, saved many jobs and created a lot more.

As the growing rivalry between China and the US metastasises into "the main threat to global stability", the 4G leaders must have a mandate to govern based on what is best for Singapore, Mr Goh Chok Tong said.

The 4G Team will inherit a world that is more hostile and challenging than it is for previous leaders including PM Lee Hsien Loong.

Strong support of Singaporeans for the 4G is necessary so that they can avoid being caught in political games where foreign leaders do not take them seriously because they do not believe they will be in power over the long term.

A newly arrived batch of chilled chicken from Australia went on sale in supermarkets.

"Singapore's chicken supply remains stable thanks to the quick response of our importers, distributors, and supermarkets, working with the Singapore Food Agency," says Minister of State Desmond Tan.

"We will be expecting more supplies of both chilled chicken from Australia and Thailand, and frozen chicken from sources such as Brazil and the U.S. in the coming weeks.

MSF has been partnering the PEERS Network to do this for a number of years already. More partners are coming on board.

At the recent retreat for partners, some rough sleepers and homeless individuals joined them too, with the social workers, befrienders and shelter operators who had been supporting them.

Minister Desmond Lee said:

"We learned misconceptions about the complex issue of rough sleeping and homelessness. We also gathered to discuss ideas to further expand the landscape of services for them. It was a powerful day of sharing, learning, and feeling, and I hope to see PEERS Network flourish with stronger multi-sector partnerships." Open / Comment
