-HE TING RU-Managed to join Png and the team this morning for a short walk around the 203 cluster of blocks.
The community garden at 203B is a great example of how residents have come together over the years to build something for their community. Thank you to Eric and the other residents for showing me around the garden which is truly a labour of love from residents — from the upcycling of Dynamo empty bottles to building a larger enclosure for the growing family of pets. Also thank you for the ghost peppers which even @terencetanlichern found too spicy for his dinner
The residents have even teamed up with My First Skool around the corner to make compost from the school’s kitchen to having the children work in the garden and care for the plants and animals in the garden. What a great example of inter-generational bonding and use!

-LEON PERERA-As a parent, I know fully the importance of having adequate living space for our children. It can potentially affect their comfort, sense of security, propensity to engage in risk behaviours and personal growth. Our children also should not live in small spaces that accentuate family stress or discourage learning.
Some of my constituents who live in smaller or rental flats have shared these tough experiences, especially during the circuit breaker period. But it is important that we grasp that there is an underlying issue we need to keep track of and improve upon.
In Parliament, I asked about the number of children living in 1- and 2-room rental flats; and the number of occupants children share such small rental flats with. The figures are sizeable, and I will continue to speak on this issue.

The Workers' Party is against raising the GST given the context of excess untapped revenues, especially in this uncertain climate. The GST is a regressive tax and while we can defer the impact on lower income families in the near term, it will hit everyone for the rest of their lives thereafter.
