𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
Tajwīd is the science of reciting the Qur’ān correctly in accordance with the established rules.

The purpose of such a science is to ensure we recite the Qur’ān in the form it was revealed to Nabī ﷺ in order to guard the Qur’ān and preserve it from any distortions.

Without Tajwīd, the meaning of the Qur’ān would change, resulting in words of disbelief and the curse of the Qur’ān being inflicted upon the reader. Therefore it is compulsory on every Muslim recite the Qur’ān with Tajwīd.

This course is a beginners course for anyone that wants to start their journey on correcting their recitation of the Qur’ān or brush up on what they know.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝗷𝘄ī𝗱 - 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿:

• The importantance of Tajwīd
• Makhārij (Correct Pronunciation of the Arabic Letters)
• Sifāt (Qualities of the letters)
• Recitation of a few Sūrahs including Sūrah Fātihah
• Thorough practice of content covered is included in class time.

On completion of this course the student will be equipped to recite Arabic with the correct pronunciation of all letters and didactical marks.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀:
• Recognition of Arabic letters.
• Ability to recite Arabic words and sentences
• Willingness to learn and practise
• This is an interactive class therefore students will be required to utilise their microphones and switch on their videos when requested
• Punctuality

Any students found not meeting the prerequisites will not be allowed to attend this class.

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of the reasons why the scholars acted on or did not act on the narrations.

𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀:
The course will outline the varying approaches that the earlier scholars had to hadith and how that impacted their fiqh. Questions such as 'why are their different opinions when there is a clear hadith?' and 'why do some scholars follow hadith and others don't?' will be answered.
