𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆:
Shaykh Hasan Ali graduated from his training in the various Islamic disciplines in 1997 and went on to read for a master’s degree in Educational Psychology in 2006 at the Institute of Education (University of London). He became the Imam of London Islamic Cultural Society (LICS) in North London, where he founded Safar Academy, enrolling with only a handful of students. He moved on from his post of Imam and went on to work at the prestigious Yusuf Islam’s Brondesbury College for Boys as the Head of Islamic Studies and Imam. After a number of flourishing years there, he joined Ebrahim College, where he taught a number of subjects, including Usul al-Fiqh, Tafsir of the Qur’an and Philosophy of Religion.
Due to the expansive growth of Safar Academy, he left the College and began to work full time to develop the Academy further; and, through the grace of Allah (SWT), it has gone from strength to strength and expanded manifold with 5 branches and 800+ students enrolled. The in-house curriculum developed in the Academies was revolutionising the Maktab system and was in demand by other institutes in the locality and nationwide Alhamdulillah. This led to the birth of Safar Publications, which publishes textbooks and resources inspiring the next generation of Muslim children growing up in the modern world, with the aim to create high-achieving contributors to society while maintaining confidence in their identities as Muslims.
