Today we speak to our amazing friend. Evon Blomstedt who despite all odds, charts her journey of transformation to see how she blazed her own trail in a challenging world for women business leaders.

After surviving a tough childhood, she left her home country of Malaysia at the young age of 19 for Europe. Over the course of the next decade, Evon became a woman entrepreneur and battle-hardened business owner of HUONE, a creative business meeting and event venues operating across Finland, Singapore and Denmark.

Happy Friday everyone, the weekend is here and yep, you got it – it’s time for #friyaypoll once again!

Today, we shine the spotlight on homegrown gelato boutique in Singapore and Michelin plate establishment– Birds of Paradise! Founder Edwin Lim really liked the idea of making people happy through ice cream (I mean, give this guy a medal! ) so he created botanical gelato served with house-made thyme cone.

Covid-19 Updates: From 24 Jun, the SHN period for new travellers from higher-risk countries or regions will be shortened from 21 days to 14 days.


On the search for clean energy: JTC Corporation and Shell Singapore have signed a MOU to jointly explore the development of a solar farm on part of Semakau Landfill. If successful, the farm will also help reduce Singapore’s carbon emissions and meet its growing clean energy needs.

Happy Monday! Hope the week is going great so far. Today is the start of Phase 3HA in Singapore where we can finally go out for meals (in 2s!) so it is already looking good!

Today we speak to our amazing friend and fellow Singapore, Siow Lee-Chin, who has performed in leading concert halls across the world with acclaimed orchestras and maestros.

A violin professor at the College of Charleston for the past 20 years, Lee-Chin is currently visiting home in Singapore. We talk to Lee-Chin about her journey in classical music, including the numerous adversities she faced along the way, and how her pedagogical approach was inspired by her late father’s teachings.
