The record holder for the most expensive artefact of World War II is the armoured Mercedes Benz 770k, which belonged to Adolf Hitler. After the war, the car ended up in the hands of car dealer Michael Frelich. The new owner studied archival documents and photographs and proved that it was this parade Mercedes that the leader of the Third Reich travelled in. After 1945, the car ended up in Austria, later in Las Vegas, before being bought by a businessman from Munich.

In 2009, Adolf Hitler's Mercedes Benz 770k was bought for €10 million by a billionaire from Moscow who wished to remain anonymous.

These sleeping arrangements were particularly popular in Britain in the 17th century.

They were used for privacy and protection from insects and animals that lived in the house. Pets were untrained and there were cases of attacking sleeping people at night. Such 'sleeping wardrobes' saved them. It was also warmer to sleep in them.

In July 1984, in San Diego City, 41-year-old James Oliver Huberty told his wife that he must have a "mental problem".

He tried to make an appointment at a neurosis clinic, but there was no call back - and Huberty went off the rails. Telling his wife he was going on a manhunt, he drove to the nearest McDonald's and began methodically shooting at customers and employees. In 77 minutes, until a sniper shot him, Huberty killed 21 people and wounded 19.

«The Lavender Panthers» were a radical paramilitary gay group that existed in San Francisco from 1973 to 1974, organised by a gay preacher. It aimed to stand up for the rights of the LGBT community with guns in their hands as the police failed to act - attacks on gays and trans people were hardly ever investigated.

A train derailed on the underground tracks and crashed into a wall. Around 100 people died. The cause of the tragedy was human error. Underground drivers went on strike that day and an inexperienced worker was put in charge of the train, who exceeded the speed limit five times on a curve.

New York, November 1, 1918.

In 2001, there was a train accident in Belgium in which a head-on collision of trains killed 8 people, including both train drivers. The accident was unique in that the main cause was a language barrier.

When the driver of the first train left the station despite a red traffic light, the dispatcher called the next station to warn them. However, the dispatchers did not understand each other because one spoke French and the other Dutch. Both are official languages in Belgium and railway company rules require staff to know at least one of them.
