LET’S TALK
In spite of all the terrifying acts that brought the fear of God into the hearts of the Israelites, they still broke His law and didn’t obey His commandments. So God introduced a new principle — the love principle. The Bible says He demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, He sent Jesus to die for us (Romans 5:8). We weren’t the ones that called out to God to send Jesus to come to die for us and save us from our sins.

The Lord reached out to us with the message of His love and reconciled us to Himself: “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18). In John 3:16, the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 15:13 also tells us, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” This is exactly what God did for us by sending Jesus to die for our sins. As a Christian, you’re greatly loved by God, and His love has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit who lives in you (Romans 5:5). That means you’ve become an ambassador of His love; you’re to love those around you with the same kind of love God demonstrated towards you. This kind of love goes beyond the barriers of every wrong; it is unfeigned, unconditional, and unlimited.

INCREASING IN STRENGTH AND GLORY.

But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ (Acts 9:22).

Years ago, while I was having a lot of opposition, I set my face like a flint and focused on something God had told me. He said, “Be courageous; I will not fail you, and I will not forsake you.” It was an instruction from God. Therefore, it made no difference who was against me or what was happening around me; I couldn’t be bothered. There wasn’t going to be any fear. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I was endued with courage and I’ve been ever since.

When God tells you to be courageous, it’s because He knows there’s trouble out there. He knows some things will try to frighten you, discourage you and dissuade you; so He says, “Be courageous.” I made up my mind that I was going to do what God said; I was going to be very courageous.

Our theme verse says, “Saul increased the more in strength….” To increase in strength means that the Lord enabled him. The Greek actually expresses it as “to be made strong.” He was increased in strength; this is an inner strength. He was empowered from within to be able to accomplish more. This is what the Lord does for His children; He strengthens you from within.

As you increase in strength, you increase in glory. This is what has happened with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these last days: it has increased in strength and it has increased in glory. We’re in a special time in the world today with Rhapsody of Realities reaching billions of people in their native language. These aren’t the kinds of things anyone could have planned. They’re happening by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. TAKE A CUE FROM DAVID
(Respect the Anointing of The Spirit)

TO THE BIBLE
1 Samuel 24:5-7 NASB “…It came about afterward that David’s conscience bothered him because he had cut off the edge of Saul’s robe. So he said to his men, “Far be it from me because of the LORD that I would do this thing to my lord, the LORD’S anointed, to reach out with my hand against him, since he is the LORD’S anointed.” And David rebuked his men with these words and did not allow them to rise up against Saul. And Saul got up, left the cave, and went on his way.”

LET’S TALK
David was a man who understood the anointing and had respect for the Lord’s anointed. He recognised it upon King Saul and esteemed it very highly. The Bible tells us how one day, Saul, with a band of three thousand chosen men, sought David to kill him. But it was David who eventually had the opportunity to kill Saul. He got so close to Saul that he was able to cut the edge of his robe without being detected. Yet, he refrained from harming the king and forbade his men from doing so (1 Samuel 24:5-7).

David’s unmistakable regard for the anointing was further demonstrated when he ordered the death of the Amalekite who confessed to killing King Saul. He said to the man: “...Your blood is on your head, because your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have finished off the Lord’s anointed”” (2 Samuel 1:16 NASB). By his actions, David proved himself worthy of the anointing, and God later testified of him, “I have found My servant David; with My holy oil I have anointed him” (Psalm 89:20 NASB).

Understand that what you respect, you attract. If you want to walk in the anointing of God’s Spirit, you must respect and esteem it. Honour and respect God’s anointed servants. Remember, He said in Psalm 105:15, “...Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.” Under no circumstance should you speak evil of God’s ministers or join others to talk evil about them, seeing that they’re anointed of the Lord. Be smart!

LET’S TALK
If you’re familiar with the Sahara Desert, you’ll know it can be a very unforgiving place, not conducive to human habitation. At night, it’s bitterly cold, and in the day it’s terribly hot. This was the kind of harsh environment the children of Israel found themselves in after leaving Egypt.

To be under such extreme conditions for the length of time they wandered through the wilderness could have spelt doom for them, but the Lord was with them, and He gave them His own atmosphere. He shielded them as a cloud in the daytime, overshadowing them from the scorching heat. And at night, He was to them a pillar of fire, protecting them against the extreme cold. So, the children of Israel travelled with their “own atmosphere”; it was the presence of the Holy Spirit (Exodus 13:21)!

If you’re born again, you carry this glorious presence of the Holy Spirit in and with you (John 14:17); it’s the blessing of the new creation. You carry your own atmosphere of the miraculous! It, therefore, doesn’t matter where you may find yourself or what happens around you. That “divine” atmosphere shields and protects you against the harsh conditions and negative circumstances of life. No wonder Jesus described us—Christians—as indestructible when He said in Luke 10:19 “…and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

You’re divinely shielded and immune from everything that hurts, binds or destroys. Everyone around you may have an infection due to the outbreak of an epidemic, but not you. There’s something that creates an atmosphere of health and victory around you; it’s the indwelling and abiding presence of the Holy Spirit. So, refuse to fear. You’re shielded from harm, evil, and destruction. Hallelujah!
