HIS POWER AND HIS GLORY
(Godâs Glory Is Greater Than His Power)
*TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations
TO THE BIBLE
Luke 5:17 âNow it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.â
LETâS TALK
Oftentimes, the power of God is synonymously used in Scripture with the presence of God and the glory of God, but they donât mean precisely the same thing. For example, when the Lord asked Moses to talk to the rock, God wanted His glory to be manifested. Moses, however, struck the rock. When he did, the power of God was manifested, but the glory of God wasnât, and God reprimanded Moses; He said, âMoses, you didnât glorify me before the peopleâ (Numbers 20:11-12).
Though Godâs power was manifested, and water came out of the rock, Godâs glory wasnât there because Moses acted in disobedience. God always wants us to manifest His power and His glory. The glory is greater than the power, because the glory includes Godâs power, grace, and righteousness. The glory of God is the term that encapsulates all of His splendour and His righteousness. God manifests His righteousness in His glory.

For those who wonder, âIs it possible for the power of God to be manifested, and His presence and glory are not manifested?â The answer is yes, because His power is given to us to use. In 1 Corinthians 9:18, the Apostle Paul talked about not wanting to abuse his authority in the Gospel. Someone can misuse the power of God, but you can never misuse the glory of God. Thatâs where the difference is. And God always wants us to walk in His glory.
Itâs like walking in the grace of God and not necessarily walking in the righteousness of God. One can walk and partake of His grace and be doing the wrong thing, but God isnât going to be happy with that. Heâd reprimand such a fellow and expect him or her to repent. To walk in Godâs power and His glory, you have to walk in His grace and in His righteousness as well; they all go together.
