The words above are the words of Jesus, and He’s telling you to always be in control while you wait; it’s an attitude of victory. When you’re confident in the Lord, in His ability and power at work in and through you, nothing shakes you.

Perhaps you suddenly received news that your spouse, child or a loved one has been rushed to the theatre for an emergency procedure. Instead of being rattled, be in charge and in control. Don’t start pacing the floor, edgy about the situation: relax. Take charge!

Never panic or be overwhelmed with fear when you face dire circumstances or opposition; maintain your composure and use your authority in Christ. Pray in rest, for He’s brought us into His rest. Take a hold of God’s Word, knowing who you are and your authority in Christ, and then issue commands. Tame the situation.

The challenges you face are “bread” for you; they’re the springboard to your next and higher level of glory. That’s why the Bible says, “Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests” (James 1:2). 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 calls the adversities you face “light afflictions,” transient and short-lived troubles—they produce for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

There’s nothing in this world that should get you ruffled or agitated. Meditate on these words of Jesus in John 16:33 AMPC: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you].”

CONFESSION
I’m in charge and in control of my life and circumstances. I’m strong, bold and courageous, functioning from a vantage position of rest because God has separated me from the world and given me a life of faith and victory through the Word. I live victoriously and triumphantly above sickness, disease, inflation and terror. I’m more than a conqueror, for greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. Hallelujah!

Les paroles ci-dessus sont celles de Jésus et Il est en train de vous dire d’être toujours au contrôle alors que vous êtes dans l’attente »; c’est une attitude de victoire. Quand vous êtes confiant dans le Seigneur, dans Sa capacité et Sa puissance à l’œuvre en vous et à travers vous, rien ne vous ébranle.

Peut-être que vous avez soudainement appris que votre conjoint, votre enfant ou un être cher a été emmené d’urgence au bloc opératoire. Au lieu d’être agité, soyez serein et prenez la situation en main. Ne commencez pas à faire des va-et-vient, tout en étant nerveux à cause de la situation: Détendez-vous. Prenez contrôle!

Ne paniquez jamais et ne soyez jamais submergé par la peur lorsque vous faites face à des circonstances ou à une opposition féroce; gardez votre sang-froid et utilisez votre autorité en Christ. Priez depuis une position de repos, car Il nous a amenés dans Son repos. Saisissez la Parole de Dieu, sachant qui vous êtes et votre autorité en Christ, et ensuite donnez des ordres. Changez la situation.

Les défis auxquels vous faites face sont du « pain » pour vous; c’est le tremplin qui vous mènera à votre prochain et plus haut niveau de gloire. C’est pourquoi la Bible dit: «Réjouissez-vous lorsque vous faites face à diverses épreuves»(Jacques 1:2). 2 Corinthiens 4:17-18 appelle les adversités que vous affrontez «de légères afflictions», des troubles éphémères et temporaires, qui produisent pour vous un poids de gloire beaucoup plus grand et éternel.

Il n’y a rien dans ce monde qui devrait vous émouvoir ou vous agiter. Méditez sur ces paroles de Jésus dans Jean 16:33 AMPC: «Je vous ai dit ces choses, afin que vous ayez en moi une paix [parfaite] et de l’assurance. Dans le monde vous avez la tribulation et les épreuves et la détresse et la frustration; mais soyez enthousiaste [prenez courage; soyez confiant, certain, intrépide]! Car j’ai vaincu le monde. [Je l’ai privé du pouvoir de vous faire du mal et je l’ai vaincu pour vous.]»

CONFESSION
Je contrôle ma vie et ses circonstances. Je suis fort, audacieux et courageux, fonctionnant à partir d’une position avantageuse de repos parce que Dieu m’a séparé du monde et m’a donné une vie de foi et de victoire à travers la Parole. Je vis victorieusement et triomphalement au-dessus de la maladie, de l’infirmité, de l’inflation et de la terreur. Je suis plus que vainqueur, car Celui qui est en moi est plus grand que celui qui est dans le monde. Alléluia!

Vous êtes-vous déjà demandé pourquoi, souvent, les gens regardent vers le ciel quand nous disons: « Prions?» C’est en fait une démonstration externe d’une vérité interne; à propos de quelque chose de spirituel, parce que le Père n’est pas dans le ciel, mais en nous; Il vit en vous. Donc, ne vous laissez pas tromper par les mouvements et les expressions extérieures, et les gesticulations.

Le Psaume 141:2 dit, «Que ma prière soit devant ta face comme l’encens, Et l’élévation de mes mains comme l’offrande du soir!» Lorsque David, prophète de Dieu, écrivit cela, il connaissait bien le ministère sacerdotal de l’Ancien Testament dans l’ancien tabernacle. Il a parlé prophétiquement et comparé le sacrifice du soir dans l’Ancien Testament à l’élévation de nos mains en adoration aujourd’hui.

Aussi, la Bible dit, «levez vos mains vers le sanctuaire, Et bénissez l’Éternel!» (Psaumes 134:2). L’apôtre Paul a réitéré la même chose; il a compris l’importance de lever les mains en adoration lorsqu’il a dit par l’Esprit, «Je veux donc que les hommes prient en tout lieu, en élevant des mains pures, sans colère ni mauvaises pensées« (1 Timothée 2:8).

Lorsque vos mains sont levées en adoration, vous affirmez que la loi de l’Esprit de vie en Jésus Christ vous a affranchi de la mort et de la loi du péché; vous affirmez votre liberté, votre joie, votre accès à la présence de Dieu et votre unicité avec Lui. Vous n’essayez pas de «tendre la main» à Dieu comme s’Il était loin; Il est en vous, vous êtes en Lui; et vous le savez. Béni soit Dieu!

AN OUTWARD SHOW OF AN INNER TRUTH

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD (Psalm 134:2).

Have you ever wondered why oftentimes, people look towards the sky when we say, “Let us pray?” It’s actually an outward show of an inner truth, of something spiritual, because the Father isn’t in the sky but inside us; He lives in you. So, don’t get confused by the motions and outward expressions and gesticulations.

Psalm 141:2 says, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” When David, a prophet of God, wrote this, he was well acquainted with the priesthood ministry of the Old Testament in the old tabernacle. He spoke prophetically and likened the evening sacrifice in the Old Testament to the lifting of our hands in worship today.

Also, the Bible says, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD” (Psalm 134:2). The Apostle Paul reiterated the same thing; he understood the importance of lifting our hands in worship when he said by the Spirit, “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8).

When your hands are lifted up in worship, you’re affirming that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from death and the law of sin; you’re affirming your liberty, joy, access into God’s presence and your oneness with Him. You’re not trying to “reach out” to God as though He were far away; He’s in you, you’re in Him; and you know it. Blessed be God!
