@COVID19Up: In this video, journalist Kim Iversen goes over the new Johns Hopkins study that found lockdowns had virtually no effect on stopping COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC and CBS all failed to even cover the study—because they "already have their own narrative written," according to the study's lead author.

A review by three respected economists from Johns Hopkins University, Lund University in Sweden and the Danish think-tank the Center for Political Studies, found that restrictions imposed in the spring of 2020—including stay-at-home orders, masks mandates and social distancing—only reduced COVID mortality by 0.2%.

The study found that lockdowns caused "enormous economic and social costs" and concluded that they were "ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument" going forward.

2022-02-04 22:24:51 Without Evidence, U.S. Claims Russia Planning "Propaganda Video" as Pretext to Invade Ukraine

@G3News: The U.S. is continuing its baseless claims against Russia and is now accusing Moscow of planning to stage a false flag in eastern Ukraine by making a “propaganda video” showing a staged attack.

U.S. officials said Russian intelligence is “intimately involved” with the plan and said the video would likely “depict graphic scenes of a staged false explosion with corpses, actors depicting mourners, and images of destroyed locations and military equipment.”

The U.S. offered no evidence to back up the extraordinary accusation. This marks the second time in recent weeks that the U.S. claimed without evidence that Russia was planning a false flag to justify an invasion.

The overall U.S. narrative that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine has been collapsing.

Ukrainian officials have publicly contradicted warnings from the Biden administration, most notably Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said Western leaders were creating a “panic” after a call with President Biden.

2022-02-04 21:24:51 Man Killed by Minneapolis Police Was Not Named in No-Knock Warrant

@G3News: New details have emerged about a 22-year-old Black man who was fatally shot by police in Minneapolis on Wednesday (Feb. 2) morning during execution of a no-knock warrant, with police officials now confirming the man killed was not named in any search warrant.

During a press conference on Thursday (Feb. 3) held by the Minneapolis police department (MPD), officials confirmed that Amir Locke—who was shot and killed during the search—was not named in any search warrant carried out by MPD police. Locke was killed by the Minneapolis officer Mark Hanneman, according to city officials and documents.

The video of the police shooting seemed to contradict claims from police officials that officers had “loudly made themselves known before entering the apartment," where Locke was. The video instead showed officers announcing their presence once they were already inside the apartment.

The video released by the Minneapolis police department shows officers entering the apartment unit by unlocking the door with a key, shouting “police, search warrant, get on the ground, get on the fucking ground,” as they entered the unit.

Locke, wrapped in a blanket on a couch after just waking up, was then shot dead by police within seconds.

@G3News: Cancel culture has come for Joe Rogan.

The campaign against Rogan began when a group of media-described “medical professionals”— largely academics and activists posing as medical professionals—laundered an “expert” petition in the media demanding that Spotify censor the Joe Rogan Experience. Very few individuals that signed the petition were in fact “doctors” or had qualified medical expertise.

The Dossier found:

“Paradoxically, the disseminators of this petition are guilty of the very misinformation label that they’ve attached to Rogan. In fact, neither of the two reported co authors of the letter—Jessica Rivera and Ben Rein—possess medical degrees. Rivera holds a master’s degree and Rein is a PhD academic who researches psychiatry.”

Rivera is currently the science communication lead with the Pandemic Prevention Institute, a project of the Rockefeller Foundation. She was previously associated with The Atlantic’s COVID-19 Tracking Project, a now defunct endeavor that was funded by Mark Zuckerberg and the Rockefeller Foundation, among other left-wing institutions. Rivera has spread misinformation about COVID-19 herself, including the false claim that vaccine induced immunity is better than natural immunity.

And now, Rolling Stone has unveiled two additional co-authors: Katrine Wallace and a TikToker named Abbie Richards.

Katrine Wallace has spent the COVID-19 years publishing academic papers almost exclusively about cancer, and has spread her own misinformation on mRNA vaccines. Wallace has falsely claimed the injections prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection entirely.

Abbie Richards is a consultant with Media Matters, a notorious left-wing dark money-funded outfit that operates almost solely to attempt to silence their political opposition.

Richards has previously participated in a Media Matters campaign to cancel Tucker Carlson, who she has labeled a “white supremacist.”

@G3News: News Corp was the target of a hack that accessed emails and documents of some employees, including journalists, an incursion the company’s cybersecurity consultant claimed was likely meant to gather intelligence to benefit China’s interests.

News Corp disclosed the hack in a securities filing Friday (Feb. 4), saying its preliminary analysis indicates that data was taken.

The attack, discovered on January 20, affected a number of publications and business units including The Wall Street Journal and its parent Dow Jones; the New York Post; the company’s U.K. news operation; and News Corp headquarters.

News Corp said it notified law enforcement and hired cybersecurity firm Mandiant Inc. to support an investigation.

@G3News: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Thursday (Feb. 3) announced a new cybersecurity review board following President Biden’s executive order on improving the nation’s cybersecurity.

The Cyber Safety Review Board (CSRB) will connect government and industry leaders in cybersecurity to work together on improving cybersecurity nationwide.

“The Biden-Harris Administration has taken bold steps to meaningfully improve our cybersecurity resilience,” Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas said in the announcement. “At the President’s direction, DHS is establishing the Cyber Safety Review Board to thoroughly assess past events, ask the hard questions, and drive improvements across the private and public sectors. I look forward to reviewing the Board’s recommendations regarding how we can better protect communities across our country as DHS works to build a more secure digital future.”

The first CSRB review will deal with weaknesses in the log4j software library that were uncovered in late 2021.

@COVID19Up: The Canadian government will not use troops against truckers whose nearly week-long protest of COVID-19 vaccine mandates has brought traffic in central Ottawa to a halt, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Thursday (Feb. 3).

More than 200 trucks and other vehicles have been blockading downtown roads in the nation's capital since last Friday in what is an unprecedented protest by Canadian standards.

The city's police chief on Wednesday (Feb. 2) indicated guns were being smuggled into the protest and said using the military was an option, but Trudeau dismissed the idea.

"There is no question of sending in the army," the prime minister said.

Organizers say drivers plan to hold similar protests in Toronto, the country's most populous city and its financial hub, and Quebec City later this week amid growing frustration over almost two years of restrictions imposed to fight COVID-19.

@G3News: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday (Feb. 3) warned U.S. athletes participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics not to risk angering a “ruthless” Chinese government.

Speaking at a Congressional-Executive Commission on China hearing, Pelosi said the U.S. has an "urgent moral duty to shine a bright light” on China’s human rights abuses.

"If we do not speak out against human rights violations in China, because of commercial interests, we lose all moral authority to speak out against human rights violations anywhere," she continued.

However, Pelosi urged athletes to focus on competing in the games rather than speaking out.

"Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless,” she said.
