2023-06-02 00:47:29 IDF: Following the initial report, assailants fired in the direction of the community of Neveh Tzuf. IDF soldiers stationed at a military post adjacent to the community responded by firing a number of bullets. IDF soldiers are searching the area for the assailants.

After the shooting, two injured Palestinians arrived at the entrance of the community to receive medical treatment. One of the injured Palestinians, among the two, is a two-year-old child, was evacuated in an IDF helicopter to an Israeli hospital.

After an initial inquiry, it was revealed that two assailants carried out a shooting for several minutes toward the community. IDF soldiers identified the shooting and responded with live fire. 2023-06-01 20:46:20 IDF: The assailant who last month carried out the ramming attack in the town of Huwara turned himself in to security forces

Naim Daras Hassan Daras, the assailant who carried out the ramming attack in the town of Huwara on the 21st of May, 2023, during which an IDF soldier was lightly injured, turned himself in to security forces on the 23rd of May, 2023.
The assailant, a resident of Ramallah aged 34, was transferred to security forces for further questioning. Open / Comment

2023-05-31 20:00:26 IDF: Four IDF soldiers were taken in for investigation yesterday following a report regarding a serious physical injury to a Palestinian detainee alongside photographic documentation of his injuries.

As part of the investigation, efforts measures were taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Based on the evidence and findings found so far, it was decided that there is no longer justification to leave the soldiers in custody in order to continue the investigation. The investigation will continue and upon its completion, the findings will be transferred to the Military Advocate General’s Corps for examination. Open / Comment

2023-05-15 21:43:41 IDF: The Military Prosecution filed indictments against the terrorists who murdered the late Elan Ganeles in February 2023

Today (Monday), May 15 2023, the Military Prosecution filed indictments against Louis Maaroff and Maher Shalon, for the crime of cooperating to intentionally cause death (equivalent to the crime of murder in Judea and Samaria), and for the crime of attempting to intentionally cause death of the late Elan Ganeles on February 27 2023, and additional offenses.

According to the indictments, the defendants jointly planned to carry out a shooting attack. To do so, they purchased a gun, ammunition and a vehicle. The defendants drove along Route 90 and began looking for Israeli vehicles and escape routes. They fired at several Israeli vehicles, and when they noticed the vehicle driven by the late Elan Ganeles, they approached it and opened fire. Their shots penetrated the vehicle’s windshield, causing his death. Afterward, the defendants fired at an additional Israeli vehicle, fled the scene and burned the vehicle used to carry out the attack.

Upon filing the indictments, the Military Prosecution requested that the defendants be detained. The military court granted the request and decided to extend their detainment until the end of the legal process.

The Military Prosecution is in contact with the victims of the crime and is updating them on any developments in the case. Open / Comment
