Ingress Updates [ENG]

2023-01-24 20:55:01 Niantic has released the update notes for Ingress Prime V2.108.1!

In this update a couple new features were introduced, such as increased precision on the hack cooldown timer, which will now display the exact seconds remaining!

Minor movements of Portals in Wayfarer will not break the links connected to the Portal (links will still be connected to the original position of the portal and will be destroyed when the portal is neutralized)

The Niantic Labs Settings menu will now host a new toggle to automatically confirm item pickup, making it easier to rapidly pick up items from the ground.

Finally, the layout of the game has been updated to better accommodate iOS's Dynamic Island and camera cutouts in general.

The only note about bugfixes concerns the crashes occurring during the "Report a problem" flow, which have been corrected.

2023-01-24 00:57:50 Niantic has published the deadline:

Quantum Capsules will be deprecated and replaced at approximately 17.00 UTC on 24 January

The Capsules will be replaced with one rare capsule and one rare kinetic capsule.
In addition, for one week from that day the distance required for all Kinetic Programs will be reduced by 50%

The Quantum Capsule will no longer be hackable from the XM Network, and any existing passcode that included a Quantum Capsule will now return a Rare Kinetic Capsule going forward.

2023-01-10 23:54:26 Niantic has announced the retirement of the Quantum Capsule and it's replacement with Rare Kinetics Capsules.

The Quantum Capsule will no longer be hackable from Portals, and passcodes that included a Quantum Capsule will now return a Rare Kinetic Capsule in its place.

Niantic stated that the contents of any existing Quantum Capsules will be moved to the Rare Capsule.

The Rare Kinetic Capsule will also be available via the in-app Ingress Store at 2,000 CMU.

The New Year 2023 badge is now available in the store for 2.500 CMU, along with a 15.000 CMU Lucky Bag Bundle containing 10x Portal Fracker and 10x Fireworks of both Factions.

Additionally, Niantic awarded the Dual-Core Badge to Agents who have subscribed to C.O.R.E for 2 years! You can see how it looks in the picture above!

2022-12-17 11:28:38 Niantic has announced the schedule for Ingress Live Events in Q1 2023!

The new Anomaly Series will be called MZFPK, and will be the last one where the Anomaly Medals will be obtainable globally.
For subsequent Anomalies, medals will be only obtainable locally and the Niantic team will try to publish cities and dates 2 months in advance.

2022-12-14 20:57:01 FevGames has announced the return of the new and improved On-site Ingress First Saturdays!

There are a few changes compared to on-site IFS events from 2019.

Attendance verification
To verify your attendance at the events, you'll be required to check in with your local IFS organiser in person. You will also be required to earn at least 10.000 AP during the Event.

Decoding Challenge
During the Event, 11 Portals around the Base Portal listed on the FevGames website will drop media items.
Keep track of them and their origin Portal, follow the Scavenger Hunt guide provided by your local organisers and win a valuable passcode!

Restocking Portals
30 minutes after the end of the event, two Portals at your Restocking location will have Frackers deployed on them. You can choose to coordinate with your fellow Agents to have one ENL P8 and one RES P8 to refill your inventory!

Online events will remain available!

Event verification requirements are about the same as for IFS@Home, including submission of the group photo, the participant spreadsheet with participation checkmarks and passcode verification.
