These Loadouts can only be bought once per agents, although it is unknown at the moment if this restriction counts during the entire duration of the Echo anomalies or just for this weekend.

2023-04-16 15:38:54 Niantic has recently opened two new applications for the position of Software Engineer for Ingress.

Both positions are full time, one in their HQ of San Francisco and one in their Los Angeles site. Among the prerequisites, at least 2-5 years of experience in software development, a BS in Computer Science, other technical major, or equivalent experience.
If you already enjoy playing Ingress, that's a plus!
The declared salary range is $142k to $185k per year + bonus + equity + benefits.

2023-04-10 18:08:07 Niantic's web3 project, the Ingress Trading Post, is shutting down on June 9th.

The Trading Post aimed to connect Ingress Agents around the world through digital Ingress Bio Cards, but the company plans to shift focus to other priorities. Users will have 60 days from today to download their Bio Cards and 30 days to trade and create new Bio Cards before the shutdown.

On June 9th, the Trading Post website and associated Niantic Campfire channel will shut down.

Remember the Mission Day + NL1331X event in Izmir, Turkey, that took place in 2019 but was spoiled for agents because the pins that were supposed to be available for them on site never arrived?

Well, with some delay, the organizer of the following form was able to get his hands on the long awaited items, and they are now available for pickup for agents who bought them out.

For a request to be valid, the original email with the PDF receipt must be sent to the email listed on the form. Postage, if required, is the responsibility of the recipient.

We hope to reach as many agents as possible in this way and will be grateful for any help in spreading the good news!

as the investigation into XM and the Scanner is shrouded in mystery and secrecy, we at @IUENG rely on outside sources to provide us with the latest scoops and news. While we place full trust into our sources, this very trust sadly made us post two pieces of intel that could not be confirmed after further digging.

We can now confirm that the NIA is not planning to introduce a North Star medal. The NIA is also not planning to sell the Founder or Edgar Allan Wright badge.

We sadly could not confirm who our anonymous source is and how they got access to the graphics that were posted, but we believe the last message we got from them before contact was cut off is as follows:

2023-04-01 20:58:03 Ingress is continuing their 10 year celebration! Two new medals are now in store: The Founder medal and the Edgar Allan Wright medal.

Both come with the following assortment of items:

40x L8 Power Cubes
40x L8 XMP Bursters

30x Rare Portal Shields
30x Rare Multi Hacks
30x Rare Heat Sinks
30x Rare Link Amps
2x Kinetics Capsules

The sale of these two medals is significant as Agents have a lot of sentiment for them. The Founder medal was only available for Agents that reached L5 before Ingress exited Beta in 2013 and the Edgar Allan Wright medal was only available to Investigators that were active in the story and were noticed by Niantic.

As these have such sentimental value, the reaction from Agents will likely be bigger than normal.

Both of the medals cost 19.000 CMU.

2023-04-01 15:16:39 Niantic has announced a new medal: North Star!

Thanks to advances in XM technology, the NIA can use the power of the Starfield to enhance interfacing with the Portal Network! To aid Agents in their quest and help the NIA with their XM investigation, the North Star medal will function as follows:

Agents will first need to stand opposite of the nothernmost Resonator of a portal (as marked in the Portal Details screen). After that, Agents will need to orient their Scanner due north and initiate a Glyph Hack. During the duration of the Glyph Hack, Agents will need to stay at the same location and keep their Scanner oriented to the north, otherwise no points will be awarded for the North Star medal.

The NIA is noting that, due to GPS drift, tall buildings, April Fools, XM turbulence and other disturbances, Agents may need to shift left and right to maintain their position and orientation of the 6-DOF parallel manipulator in the joint space coordinate.

The North Star medal will have the following tiers:

Bronze: 401
Silver: 20,000
Gold: 60,000
Platinum: 200,000
Onyx: 500,000

The medal will roll out soon with an expected deployment date of April 31, 2069.

2023-03-30 01:46:57 Niantic has released the rules for the Echo Anomalies, which will be held on April 22nd, May 20th and June 17th 2023!

Each Primary site is worth 600 points total, while every Satellite site is worth 200. Both these total are evenly split between Battle Beacons and Flash Shards Challenges.

Anomaly Zone Battle Beacons
7 Battle Beacon Waves in 3 hours, one starting every 25 minutes.
Each Battle Beacon is worth 2+3+4 = 9 points based on checkpoints won.
Battle Category does not influence the score.
Volatile Battle Beacons are worth 3x the base points.
The maximum score for each Faction from any of the Beacon Battle Waves during the Anomaly Period will be their raw score. The 100 or 300 points will be split proportionally to the raw score.

Anomaly Zone Flash Shards
20 Shards in batches of 4 and 4 Target Portals in batches of 1 at Satellite sites
60 Shards in batches of 12 and 12 Target Portals in batches of 3 at Primary sites
Shards jump on L4+ links every 10 minutes
A new batch of Shards spawns every 35 minutes
A new batch of Targets spawns every 40 minutes
The first five Shards secured on a Faction’s Target Portal will score 5 scoring points per Shard regardless of which Faction controlled that Target Portal at the time. Any additional Shards after the fifth are scored at 0 points.

ECHO Medal
Interact with at least 5 Anomaly Zone Battle Beacons to obtain the Medal. Valid Actions include:
• Deploy or Upgrade Resonator (not your own)
• Attack or Destroy Resonator
• Destroy Portal Mod
• Destroy Link
• Recharge Resonator (Remote Recharge, too)

Linking under Field
Every Anomaly weekend, from Friday at 1700 UTC to Monday at 1700 UTC, links shorter than 8km in length can be created under Field.
