2023-04-28 10:27:04 While the Ingress Community was worried about the fate of the NL-1331 Portal, Thia reported that the Ingress team is aware of, and is working to resolve, the issue with the news items showing up every time the Scanner is restarted.

A workaround to prevent this from happening while a fix is pushed to the Scanners, is to visit the News feed and look at the first news items appearing there.

2023-04-28 00:16:46 NL-1331 is back! The portal has reappeared in Camp Navarro.

The portal keys have not yet returned to the inventories of Players involved, so it's plausible that Niantic could soon provide a passcode which can be redeemed to obtain new keys.

Upvotes on Portal photos have also been reset so that the iconic photo of the van backing into a street sign is no longer the main photo.

You can view the portal via this in-game link and upvote the photos you like.

2023-04-26 22:40:06 UPDATE: The Wayspot was removed from the Niantic Lightship database which caused the portal to disappear from Ingress. Niantic has just restored the Wayspot in Lightship, however due to Ingress only syncing to Lightship once per day, it may take a while before the portal reappears in the game. It is unknown if the keys will survive until then or if they will need to be reissued by Niantic.

2023-04-26 22:25:01 We are receiving reports that the NL-1331 portal and it's associated Portal Keys have vanished from the Portal Network. As using a direct link to the portal is not working either, we assume that the portal was deleted, likely on accident.

We'll keep you updated with new developments regarding the Research Vessel and any information Niantic may be releasing regarding it.

2023-04-24 21:29:01 Many Agents are reporting that hacks on friendly Portals now award 100 AP and hacks on enemy Portals award 200AP (in addition to any Glyph Hack bonus).

Niantic has not yet announced any change to the scoring system, so it is unknown whether the change is intentional or not. We'll keep you posted!
