Role: Contract Analyst
Location: Abuja
Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day commercial contracts analysis and documents control. To provide adequate inputs from time to time and as might be required to ensure contractual compliance. These include management of client’s correspondences to and from external stakeholders, tracking of contractual notices and dispute resolutions documentation for the Company
Responsibilities:
1. Contract Analysis and Reporting
i. Ensures day to day preparation of daily reports for communications to external stakeholders.
ii. Provide detailed analysis as might be required from time to time of contractual details in accordance with terms and procedures within the signed contracts
iii. Notify management of probable amendments in the contract in case results from re-computation and expectations are unsatisfactory or have some flaws
iv. Ensure that all invoices reflect contractual obligation.
v. Ensure proper documentation of all contractual issues for future references of the Company
2. Administrative Functions and Document Control
Assist with analysing and performing quality checks of reports, analysis and invoices related to settlement obligations while also ensuring accuracy, completeness of all invoice variables while maintaining good documentation of work outputs. To also work closely with departments within the organization to ensure proper document control of all official correspondences.
3. Track Notices
Keep track and report on daily, weekly, monthly or annual notices as might be required from time to time in respect of all Commercial Contracts. This is to ensure adequate cover, mitigation and avoidance of any underlying commercial liabilities/obligations from missed notices.
4. Assist in Negotiation & Dispute Resolution
Actively participate in diligent research and prepare reports relevant for negotiation/dispute resolution. This should be in line with guidelines within the signed contracts, standard practice, adherence to Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC) policy of the Company and applicable laws. This will ensure that commercial and financial risks are duly mitigated.
5. Any other function
To perform any other function that might be required and assigned by management/supervisor
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor of Science or Business degree.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years intense experience in finance/commercial role
Professional Membership:
• Any relevant training
Key Competency requirements
• Ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision
• Ability to accurately review and complete detail oriented information
• Attention to details with regards to settlement accuracy of parties to contract
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to prepare reports and understand technical information
