IOC: Trans athletes can compete with females without reducing testosterone
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has issued new guidelines for transgender women athletes – stating they should no longer need to reduce their levels of testosterone to compete in female categories, reversing a previous stance from 2015.
The new 10-point framework is set to be rolled out after this year’s Winter Olympics but will not be legally binding – with the burden on governing bodies across individual sports to determine their rules.
Some advocates argue that while the IOC's new guideline is intended for elite athletes, it could bolster the case of trans student athletes in their fight against state bills in the US. Ten states in America have enacted laws restricting trans students from participating in female school sports.

OFF THE GRID: Chinese shipping CHAOS as new data law adds to global disruption
A new law governing the collection of data has been blamed for ships in Chinese waters DISAPPEARING from tracking systems, throwing the supply chain further into crisis by preventing logistical shipping plans.
The Personal Data Protection Law allows domestic providers to refuse sharing data with foreign entities, which makes avoiding bottlenecks in Chinese ports impossible for shipping companies.
Market and valuations provider VesselsValue estimates the terrestrial shipping data across all Chinese waters, where 6 of the world’s 10 largest ports are found, has dropped by 90% within a fortnight of the Nov. 1 law being passed.

Police question armed man outside Kenosha courthouse as jury reconvenes for Rittenhouse trial
The Rittenhouse murder trial has been dubbed a crucial turning point for self-defense in the US. The 18-year-old is facing life behind bars if found guilty on all charges, as reports suggest there could be a mistrial over withheld footage from the prosecution.
His verdict is expected this Wednesday, as the authorities prepare for potential unrest in Wisconsin pending the jury's decision.
Even before the deliberations have concluded, the tension is vivid.

UK Suicide Bomber was Planning Attack for Months -
PoliceCounter-terror police say the man behind the bombing of a Liverpool hospital has been planning the attack since April, 2021 - after discovering that he had made “relevant purchases.”
Emad Al Swealmeen, who is understood to have failed in several attempts to claim asylum since coming to Britain in 2014 from Iraq, had rented a property in the city seven months ago and is thought to have gone through periods of mental illness.
The terror threat level in the country has since been upgraded to 'SEVERE' - meaning an attack is 'highly likely' after officials confirmed Swealmeen was not known to MI5.

Rittenhouse prosecutors WITHHELD HD drone footage from defense – sparks mistrial motion (Daily Mail)
Rittenhouse prosecutor Thomas Binger apparently only supplied low-definition drone footage of the Kenosha shooting to the defense team, leading them to file for a mistrial that could potentially see the teen walk free.
The footage allegedly showed Kyle Rittenhouse aiming his weapon at people and was central to the prosecution’s case, but the version they handed over was less than three times the file size.
The papers filed listed over 20 separate grounds for a mistrial, including further examples of “clearly intentional” and “prejudicial… prosecutorial misconduct” from Binger.

US Debt Disaster: Fed Govt Unable to Pay Bills by mid-December, warns YellenUS Treasury sec. Janet Yellen has written to Congress in a desperate bid to urge lawmakers to either raise or suspend the borrowing limit to avoid a potential recession describing the situation as “critical.”
Yellen stated the Fed govt could be unable to meet payments by as soon as Dec. 15. The Bipartisan Policy Center estimated last month that If action was not taken social security payments and military paychecks could be at risk.
Congress recently raised the statutory debt limit by $480 billion, but this appears to have been a short-term fix, Republicans are now calling for Biden to act to find a long-term solution.
