Two senior officers of a nuclear-powered attack submarine involved in an underwater collision in the South China Sea and a top ranking sailor have been fired.

Vice Admiral Karl Thomas had the sailors walking the plank after concluding that, with better judgement and decision making, the incident could have been "avoided"

Amid rising tensions between the US and China, the navy has still not divulged why the USS Connecticut was in the location, how it hit the alleged sea MOUNTAIN or what damage had been caused.

Every chance the same questions will resurface.

Intense confrontations have broken out between members of the Mexican National Guard and a group of migrants travelling towards Mexico City in a caravan, near Pijijiapan.

The authorities wearing riot gear were pelted by sticks, stones and other projectiles. A member of the National Guard can be seen lying in the road in the footage.

According to local media, the National Guard and the National Migration Institute (INM) attempted to arrest a number of people in the caravan coming from various parts of Central America.

Fraudsters are reportedly scheming to leave near-zero trace by asking victims to use cryptocurrency ATMs and QR codes - making it harder to recover financial losses.

The Bureau's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) posted this warning:

"The FBI has seen an increase in scammers directing victims to use physical cryptocurrency ATMs and digital QR codes to complete payment transactions."

One tactic flagged up was online impersonation claiming to be a govt, law enforcement or company representative. It's said criminals have also increased using so-called romance schemes to establish a relationship.

The delay comes after the Federal Aviation Administration warned that the new wireless technology could interfere with key cockpit safety systems of some aircraft. (WSJ)

AT&T and Verizon planned to light up new 5G networks that use C-band frequencies on Dec. 5th. That rollout will now be delayed until at least Jan 5th, the firms said Thursday.

The two companies collectively spent nigh on $70BN earlier this year to gain licenses for C-band spectrum that was up for auction. Shares of Verizon fell 2.1% and AT&T declined 1.5% Thursday - while broader US stock indexes were mixed.
