If you fix your affairs and your division between your wives with justice and you become pious towards Allaah in all of your conditions, Allaah will forgive you for your inclination towards some of your women.

2021-12-17 10:48:38 LOSING SOMETHING BELOVED

If the believer loses his beloved, be it his family, son, property, close friend etc., he is comforted by the sweetness of faith. Faith is the best replacement that the believer has for anything he loses, and this is something clearly seen and experienced. In reality losing something beloved is counted amongst the calamities.

2021-12-17 10:40:41 THE SWEETNESS OF THE REWARD LESSENS THE BITTERNESS OF PATIENCE

One is faced with trials and difficulties in every moment of life, but having faith and certainty serves to comfort and console one of them. Strong faith, reliance upon Allāh, hope in the reward of Allāh and desire for His beneficence are the basic constituents that help bring this state about. The sweetness of the reward lessens the bitterness of patience.

Allāh, Exalted is He, says,

"If you feel pain, they too are feeling it just as you are, but you hope for something from Allāh which they cannot hope for."

[Sūrah al-Nisā' (4):104]

2021-12-17 10:12:33 HER FAITH KEPT HER FIRM

The mother of Moses, when the river bore him away, felt the loss of her son so acutely that it overcame her heart, and were it not for the fact that Allāh established faith in her heart and her sure knowledge that the promise of Allāh was true, she would surely have openly broadcast her calamity. However her faith kept her firm at the onset of calamity, consoled her, and strengthened her.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said in his great legacy [to Ibn 'Abbās],

"Know Allāh in times of ease, He will know you in times of hardship."

* Recorded by al-Tirmidhī [#2516] and Ahmad [1/293, 303, 307] and it is sahīh.

We have 2 brothers in our community who are homeless and need assistance. One is living in his car currently and the other doesn't have anywhere to go.

Both are currently working full as of this week and need assistance until they get their first paycheck.

We would like to raise enough funds to get them a shared hotel rooms for a month.

2021-12-13 23:15:00 UMM SALAMAH HIND BINT ABĪ UMAYYAH BIN AL-MUGHĪRAH

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that when her 'iddah period had ended, Abū Bakr sent word to her proposing marriage to her, but she did not marry him. Then the Messenger of Allāh sent 'Umar bin al-Khattāb with a proposal of marriage. She said:

"Tell the Messenger of Allāh that I am a jealous woman and that I have sons, and none of my guardians are present."

He went to the Messenger of Allāh and told him that. He said, "Go back to her and tell her:

"As for your saying that you are a jealous woman: I will pray to Allāh for you to take away your jealousy. As for your saying that you have sons: your sons will be taken care of. And as for your saying that none of your guardians are present: none of your guardians, present or absent would object to that."

She said to her son 'Umar:

"O 'Umar, stand and marry me to the Messenger of Allāh."

Thus, her son 'Umar performed the marriage.*
