2021-06-14 23:15:16 IF HE PARDONS, ALLĀH WILL GIVE HIM HONOUR

The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said:

“Allāh does not increase a servant due to [his] pardoning [of others] except in honour.” *

* Related by Muslim (no. 2588).

The honour he acquires due to pardoning [others] is more beloved and beneficial to him than the honour acquired through vengeance, for this is merely [the acquisition] of outward honour while inheriting humiliation inwardly. But pardoning [others] appears as humiliation outwardly whilst it is [in reality] honour both inwardly and outwardly.

2021-06-13 01:01:04 PARDONING OTHERS WHO HARMED YOU

Al-Sha'bī (رحمه الله) said,

"'Isā bin Maryam (عليه السلام) used to say, 'Benevolence (ihsān) is not that you show benevolence to the one who shows it to you, that is simply repaying him with goodness. But benevolence is that you are benevolent to the one who harmed you'."*

2021-06-12 01:18:20 WILL YOU SEEK REVENGE OR PARDON?

Know! You have sins between you and your Lord, and you fear the result of those sins and you hope He will pardon and forgive you. Not only do you want Him to forgive you, you desire that He honors you and gives you good above what you are hoping for. Thus, if you desire this from your Lord despite your sins, then you should deal with the evil of the creation in a similar manner so that Allāh will deal with you like this. The reward is similar to the action. As you do to others, it will be done to you. You will be treated just like you treat the creation. Whoever ponders this will find it easy to do good towards those who harm him.

2021-06-12 01:12:29 THE PREFERENCE FOR ACCEPTING A PERSON'S EXCUSE & APOLOGY

Muhammad bin Abdillāh bin Zinji al-Baghdādi recited the following poetry to me:

If one day a friend apologizes to you
for a shortcoming,
The excuse of a brother is accepted;
So spare him from your harshness and forgive him,
Because tolerance is a quality of every noble man.

2021-06-11 22:53:43 THOSE WHO ARE FORGIVING ARE REWARDED

The wise person should maintain forgiveness and pardon even when mistreatment occurs from all the world, hoping for Allāh’s forgiveness for his own misdeeds that he perpetrated throughout his life, because those who are forgiving are rewarded and those who choose to punish, even if they achieve their revenge, end in regret.

2021-06-10 01:19:46 THE HUSBAND HASTILY DIVORCING HIS WIFE

Some husbands, they do not have any patience, nor any deliberation. They are quick to act and they become enraged quickly. In reality, this type of man needs a muzzle on his mouth, and he needs to learn deliberation and patience. He must learn that marital life is not [always] a bed of beautiful flowers, and that it is not [always] fertile earth and moist land; rather, there are thorns in the path, and there are floods and mountains.

It is upon the man to embody the role Allāh has placed him in, so he does not display haste, nor does he become irate. He must be forbearing, patient, measured and seek the aid of Allāh. He is not rash. Anger does not bring forth good.

Therefore, as long as Allāh has placed divorce in your hand, O slave of Allāh, then you be as great as the responsibility.

2021-06-07 23:40:22 WHAT AFFLICTED ME, CAME FROM MY OWN SELF

Sa'īd bin Jubayr (رحمه الله) said,

"Patience is the servant's acknowledgement that what afflicted him came from himself alongside his expectation and hope of the reward that lies with Allāh for being patient."
