An intelligent person should have particular times his wife knows about, so she can beautify herself for him; and not to investigate further than what is apparent so he does not find anything he might dislike.

This will make the lives of both spouses good and (mutually) maintained. If the wife does not look after herself, shortcomings will become apparent leading to her husband being turned off and causing him to look for another wife and so forth. The same is requested also from the husband who needs to look his best and adorn himself for her just like she does for him, so both can live in harmony and their love lasts.

2021-12-10 10:35:39 THERE WAS NO PERSON MORE BELOVED

Anas Ibn Mālik (radiyAllāhu'anhu) said:

"There was no person more beloved to them [the Companions] than the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ). Yet, they would not stand up [for him] when they would see him [coming] because they knew that he disliked that."*

2021-12-09 22:59:33 SEEK HELP FROM ALLĀH

When the Prophet (ﷺ), asks something from Allāh, or guides his community to ask specific thing from Allāh, he is exhorting them with seeking help from Allāh, and having hope in His favour, at the same time they have to work hard and earnestly for the accomplishment of what they asked to be removed from them.

Therefore making du'ā' should go side by side with action. So the slave strives for what will benefit him in his religion and his worldly life, and he asks his Lord to make him accomplish his need, and he seeks His help in that.

Grief (huzn) is usually over past events that you can neither bring back nor rectify. Anxiety (hamm) is usually fear and concern over what will come in the future. Therefore a person should concentrate his energy and attention in the betterment of his existing events, and his present moments. Focusing on the affairs of the moment is the necessary cause of them being accomplished, and is what gets rid of grief and anxiety from the heart.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"Strive for what will benefit you, and seek the help of Allāh, and do not be incapacitated. And if something afflicts you, do not say: 'If I had done such and such, such and such would have happened.' But say: "This is the decree of Allāh, He does what He wills. This is because 'if' opens the act of Shaytān.*

Among the means of warding off anxieties and the preoccupation of the heart with sorrow is to occupy onself with one activity or another, or with some useful knowledge ('ilm). This is because doing that will distract the heart away from being immersed in its anxieties. It may even help him forget the things that caused him grief and worry, and he may even experience some happiness and become cheerful.

2021-12-08 04:26:59 WHATEVER EVIL BEFALLS YOU, IS FROM YOURSELF

The good things that brings happiness, with which a slave may be tested, come from the obedience that the slave performs, and the evil thing that bring dislike and despair, with which a slave may also be tested, come from disobedience performed by the slave, as Allāh the Most High, said:

{ مَّآ أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ وَأَرْسَلْنَٰكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولًا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًا }

Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allāh, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself. And We have sent you (O Muhammad ﷺ) as a Messenger to mankind, and Allāh is sufficient as a witness.*

They call to connecting with those who have cut you off, giving those who have withheld from you, and pardoning those who have oppressed you. They enjoin kindness to parents, keeping the ties of kinship, being kind to the neighbor, the orphan, the poor, and the traveler. They call to kindness to the slave. They prohibit pride, arrogance, and transgressing against the creation. Whether it be justly or unjustly.
